"WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD I travelled in Taormina and passed by this restaurant just now. （Sep.28th 7:50PM）We have four people. A male elder waiter gave us a table near the performance seat. It was too noisy and we said we would like to wait for another table. We were the first waiting there and others were coming after us. However, the funny things happened. When a table was ready, the waiter and the waitress gave the table to other people coming after us. I told them we were the first in the line, and they replied with Italian instead of English. VERY IMPOLITE. It was really rediculous. I went to different countries and restaurants all over the world. NEVER met a restaurant like this. You don't know come first, serve first？？？Because we are not Italian, so we were treated like this with a discrimination？？？ . Suggest you should let your waiters get trained first. Taormina is a city full of tourists. Discrimination sucks. If you don't know who come first, you can see the monitor of your restaurant."

"Il posto è davvero molto bello, arredato con complementi di stili anche molto diversi tra loro, che però nel loro insieme forniscono un risultato molto gradevole alla vista. Ci siamo accomodati nella sala interna, ci hanno dato un tavolo con delle poltroncine comodissime e ci hanno servito in tempi abbastanza rapidi, compatibilmente con la gente nel locale che comunque era tanta, perché molti mangiavano anche fuori. Siamo stati accolti con un piccolo snack di benvenuto e abbiamo poi ordinato una spigola al cartoccio tra le migliori che abbia mai mangiato, si scioglieva letteralmente in bocca; ottimo anche il vino. A fine pasto ci è stato offerto un limoncello fatto da loro con zucchero di canna, veramente squisito. I prezzi non sono bassi, ma la qualità e la cortesia meritano assolutamente fino all'ultimo centesimo. Le pietanze e lo stile di impiattamento sono molto sofisticati nel loro complesso, ma la tradizione viene comunque rispettata. Complimentoni"

"How wonderful! This charming place is located in a side and quiet street of Taormina from which you can see the sea. Already from the beginning we understand the friendliness of the managers. We're two and have lunch on the outside terrace. We order, to start, sea appetizer and fish to the carpaccio. The seconds chosen are homemade spaghetti and pasta with pistachio sauce. Everything is really superlative! The flavors are simple but decisive and tasty. The very abundant portions. In a few restaurants we enjoyed such good products. I highly recommend it!!!"

"Un'esperienza culinaria da provare al centro di Taormina. La location è molto bella e affaccia sul corso, dopo aver salito delle scale vicino alla piazza del Duomo. Il menu è ristorante, sia pesce che carne, ma anche pizzeria, con interessantissime pizze gourmet, oltre alle classiche. Avendo provato sia pizzeria che ristorante posso dire che le portate sono di assoluta qualità: dall'antipasto al dolce, la qualità è palpabile. Da provare le pizze fritte come antipasto, i marinati, ma anche le pizze gourmet. Il tempo di attesa è breve anche a sala piena e i prezzi nella media, cosa non da poco vista la posizione centralissima."

"We visited for lunch we were really disappointed. The waiter/owner was very abrupt and unwelcoming. We were given dry bread, no butter or olive oil. We were abruptly told one dish had finished my husband was rushed to order an alternative. The waitress was yelling very loudly aggressively in the kitchen it made the atmosphere tense not relaxing. We waited 15 minutes for our drinks about 45 minutes for our meal to arrive. It was not even fresh pasta. We saw them bringing dried pasta into the restaurant for the meals! My swordfish was average I had asked if it came with veg. The waiter told me it did but it only came with dried up lettuce! Totally over priced terrible service."

"We visited this family run restaurant on our first night arriving in Taormina. Our first thoughts were that it appeared quiet, we also noticed it was immaculate , people dining looked contented and we could see the locals were also dining out there. The family running it appeared friendly and welcoming and full of character. We ordered a mix of starters and mains to share and were blown away by the food. Wonderful fish and meat, treated with love and care and cooked to perfection. We could not stop talking about how amazing we thought it was, and how we loved the atmosphere, so much so, we returned 3 more times over our 7 day vacation. We returned on our last day, to dine, to show our respect, and to say goodbye. This place should be bursting with people eating there, and we wish the family all the best and the success they deserve. We will return. Sandy and Rich, UK."

"Non succede spesso, ma a volte succede. l'abbiamo fatto alle 2:30 di ieri, abbiamo trovato questo magnifico ristorante per il nostro pranzo. ci siamo sistemati e in 10 minuti siamo già stati serviti. abbiamo preso la loro pasta ricci e gamberi me, e mia moglie un piatto di pasta rocciosa, tutto innaffiato con una deliziosa birra artigianale. tutto grande e delicato con pasta fatta in casa e materie prime fini. una menzione positiva al personale della stanza, cristian e giuseppe che erano di una gentilezza del passato, che solo in pochi luoghi ho trovato. una lode anche allo chef, per la cura che ha messo nella preparazione dei piatti, complimenti. Dimenticavo, ci hanno offerto anche l'amaro. Grazie, tornerò sicuramente da voi la prossima volta."

"I have been dying to share this review about our cooking experience in taormina for months! I was on my way and had other problems with christmas, so it had to wait so I could devote the time to... it deserves! we have discovered our first night there by chance and stumbled over this extraordinary cooking class. Now we've never taken another cooking class so we can't compare anything, but what I can tell them is that the food they taught us to make was the BEST food on the whole island we had found in our one month stay! They can see these pictures and videos of eating as they are created, but if they could experience the flavors. omg! I don't know how they do it! haha they served a charcuterie board that was incredible and we learned something we loved and never tried. they had honey and an apricot jam on the board to try with their cheese. wow! We have never tried this before and it was divine! try it at home! the caponata shown here was from the charts! we never tried, and I couldn't help. that was the one I had to have more! it was really incredible! the ambiente, just walking up the unique staircase as it was this historic building with the beautiful old door was so exciting and tempting! it was so festive! the finished products were exceptional mouthwatering! salvo was our sweet cook, who was very patient with us, and loris explained everything we did and was so informatiw and also very friendly. at the end of the delicious courses served with incredible local ätna wein (taormina is right next to the ätna, the most active vulcan in europa), we found out that maya, the cute blonde girl in the picture, was the fabulous owner of this amazing cooking class restaurant (there is a restaurant above where the kitchen is that all these same phenomenals served! maya is responsible for the funny design of cooking restaurant that I loved to find out because I appreciate women who go after their dreams and let it happen while a great work! to say I recommend this class when they go to taormina is a huge understatement! it was about or so hours and we enjoyed every bit with which we cloged ourselves! they even sent us a pdf of all recipes that I will try soon! Many thanks to the team for the time with them unforgettable and delicious!"

"We loved this place and came twice on our stay, every pasta dish we had was delicious. Unusual sauces on the vegan menu too, it seems a very thoughtful and considered vegan menu. The pistachio pesto and the Taormina sauce were particularly amazing! Would have happily worked my way through the menu if we had more time here! Meals I had elsewhere in Taormina I wish I had come here instead. Great service and presentation. Definitely recommend!"

"This dinner was very disappointing. In fact, nearly inedible. After a beautiful speech from the owner about how everything on the menu is fresh, and an interesting menu, we ordered happily 2 dishes that sounded incredible. When we received our risotto with red shrimps, what we received was very sad. It wasn’t truly a risotto, you could tell that it was just rice with a sauce poured on top. Then for the shrimp... where were they?? There were only 2 very tiny shrimps (the kind that you only find frozen) in the whole dish. On top of this, there was not a trace of salt. It was completely bland, not even a taste of shrimp. It was tasteless. We complained to the waitress who said she would tell the cooks. Then arrived our second course, a grilled piece of tuna on zucchini with onions. The onions were still cold and were clearly the kind that come straight out of a jar. Then the tuna... horrible. Again, this dish did not even have salt. We complained and asked for some salt and pepper and oil to try to fix it ourselves. But still, the quality of tuna was bad. It was definitely a frozen tuna (not fresh like we were told by the owner) and had a rubbery feel. On top of this, it didn’t have a flavor of having been grilled... it looked like it was, but it tasted like it had been grilled, then frozen, and then microwaved and plated for us. Just really sad. We also wanted to have a glass of wine, but the cheapest glass they had available was 16€. Then the bottles of wine we usually buy at home were over 4 times the price on the wine list. A normally 8€ bottle of wine was listed for 35€. And that was one of their cheapest wines on the list. In the end, extremely disappointing. We ate what we could manage because at such a late time there wasn’t much opportunity to get a reservation at another restaurant. On top of it all, it cost a lot. Was not worth even to walk in the door."

"We tried this restaurant today as it was recommended in a guidebook as one of the top 10 in Sicily. No way is that correct. There may have been a change of owner but if you look at the gallery of their website not one...of the dishes there could be found on the menu. The website also seems to have no menu which is odd but now we understand. This is a seafood restaurant but without prawns on the menu?? We had a seafood pasta starter but sent it back as it had all the shells but very little seafood and even some closed shells. (Despite sending it back, we were charged for it We had fish of the day but what came were 3 slabs of fish per plate, which were grilled with a very basic salad. It was ok but there was too much fish for one person to eat no doubt because we were paying by the kg. It felt like a con, and the fish was just grilled, with no sauce or anything else to distinguish it. I’m afraid this is a restaurant to avoid. There are so many great restaurants in Taormina that you really don’t need to waste time here."
