"Great restaurant outpost right outside of Taormina. Despite not being in the city it does get very packed so reservations for dinner are recommended. Outdoor patio is adorable and very romantic with the lights awning, and the view is very great down the hill. You can also watch the cars trying to get into the Taormina parking lot and get jammed up in traffic. There's a small parking lot in front of the restaurant for guests. Staff is extremely friendly, and some of the waitstaff speak English although not all. They did not have an English menu when we came here although we got by with Google translate. The pastas are absolutely delicious and must try. All of the pasta dishes are delicious, we shared quite a few of them. They are generous with the bread on the table, and the wines are very affordably priced by the bottl.e The appetizers especially the seafood options were all fantastic as well. The entrees were less standout and I wouldn't really recommend any of them. We shared a steak which was pretty gray and a bit tough. Prices were not as steep as inside the city. Absolutely worth an outing from Taormina. It's walking distance although you need to go down the highway leading into the parking lot where there isn't a sidewalk."

"We had a great meal at Raya. The food is certainly not cheap. Starter for £18 and above, net from £22 for pasta to £30. Dessert £15. However, it was worth the price tag for the quality and presentation of food. The cover fee includes delicious bread and a beautiful Amuse Bouche Art thing. My glass of wine was a local Chardonnay that was delicious £7). The only thing I would change is the lighting inside is quite bright therefore low score for the ambience. Outside looks nice, but in April everyone sat inside."

"A great little Italian place hidden in the heart of Taormina. Pizza was good, the dough is solid for being GF. Me and my company were both celiacs, the staff is very accommodating and comes back to make sure they don‘t serve something inappropriate. "Visited this restaurant for lunch as they were known to have very good gluten-free pasta and great location for viewing Taormina and Edna, we were not disappointed. In addition the regular pasta was outstanding also. Started with the bruschetta with mozzarella and ham, and the fritto misto di pesce. Moved on to the gluten free pasta Norma, gluten free tagliolini pesto pistacco, tagliolini scampi and the cous, cous di pesce. Finished with the Sicilian dessert. "We visited this restaurant on 3rd September 2023 following recommendations from guide books. The restaurant is located near the Duomo near the upscale Four Seasons White Lotus hotel. The place was quite quiet it could be due to its location. We were given a nice table on the terrace. The service from start to finish was great. The menu was large and there were many choices. "absolutely fantastic dinner experience. the location on the terrace, with views of the bay and the vulkan etna are incredible. eating was spectacular and the service was even better. my wife and I traveled with our 2 yr old son who came to dinner with us and the chef and the server went out of that to make him feel special. I was not sure if the restaurant would be suitable for such a small child, but they ensured that he felt welcome and he had a great evening meal. the ätna spaghettoni and the pomodoro and sesamemeer bass were absolutely delicious. the complementary amuse-bouche bites were also so kreatiw and tasty. although the restaurant is a bit expensive, it is worth it. if I have the chance to visit taormina again, I would definitely try to return to principe cerami"
