Always go here but tonight was a horror. Two and half hour wait for food. Finally get food and it wasn't what was requested. Stone cold and taste was non existent. Shocking!! Food: 1 Service: 1

I ordered a takeaway beef curry, nut pilau , a nann bread. There was enough meat, but the sauce had little taste. The rice was dry. The nann bread was nice. Delivery was excellent. Not the best takeaway I 've had, starts over cooked (burnt) the prawn starter was very bland with lots of onions and not many prawns. The main of chicken tikka garlic chilli was OK at best, chips were hard and undercooked almost white, the vegetable rice was bland as well. First time trying this takeaway coming recommend by friends. I won 't be listening to them again if this is supposed to be one of the best around, not a great experience and won 't be going again. As for the reply from the owner that this is your opinion Yes it is and as a paying customer I have the right to give an honest opinion which I did. No comment in the way of an apology or how could we do better next time.

We ordered from Abbey’s for the first time yesterday, as we’d recently moved into the area. I had the chicken korma with boiled rice and it was delicious, the chicken was tender and the korma was sweet and light. My partner had the chicken dupiaza with pilau rice, he said it was really tasty and not spicy. The flavours were balanced and he throughly enjoyed it. He says he might try something spicer the next time we order. We both shared some onion bhajis, poppadoms and vegetable pakoras. The portions are large so you certainly get your moneys worth.
