Anova Restaurant - Speisekarte

We have to thank JP for hosting a couple of truly excellent meals. The food was very well presented and tasted really good.

We booked the breakfast daily as a preliminary to skiing. Not disappointed at all. Food was of great quality and plentiful.

All dishes were well prepared and presented with the menu facilitating both meat eaters as well as vegetarians (and the occasional dog). Speisekarte ansehen

These guys make a cracking English Breakfast and Sunday Roast. Free WiFi and great views make it the ideal place for a nice relaxing day.

modern , contemporary decor with friendly service. Good selection for kids. Booking advisable. We tended to arrive early to enjoy a drink in the bar in front of the fire. As with elsewhere in this resort, people are very friendly and kids are welcome and treated well.

Good food after a day's ski-ing. Good portion sizes and a nice mix of traditional alpine food and fancier choices. True puddings were spectacular - particularly the tiramisu snow ball. Good friendly service and an excellent bar next door - we really enjoyed our evening. Speisekarte ansehen

We stayed in the Anova Hotel and ate mainly in the restaurant alternating between lunch and dinner during our week long stay. Both lunch and dinner menus had plenty of choices ranging from simple courses to high quality 'posh nosh'. The restaurant and bar staff were excellent, well informed and friendly.

A nova is a strange experience with a nice decoration very in, which mixes mountain and modern spirit. The names on the menu card give you a good impression. But...although the plates are well dressed, the food is totally savourless. It's really a strange experience but there is nothing behing the nice image. I don't know if there is an issue of temperature cooking or frozen products?

Had a nice lunch so booked to return for evening meal. All 5 had different dishes and were a little disappointed. The food was pleasant but not worth the amount charged. Steak ordered rare was well done but returned and replaced with no problems. The fish dish was served with mushrooms asparagus and some rather grey artichokes. No potatoes or starch. Veg generally lacking (I like veg to eat not just as decoration ). Duck was nicely cooked and risotto and tartiflette tasty but uninspiring. Generally felt a bit disappointed and overpriced.
