"My daughter and I ate here two nights ago. You choose your seafood from the fresh seafood counter and they cook it to order. We had 3 oysters, 3 scallops, Mussels and a Palamos, each prawning. They give you a complementary glass of Fizz and the bread you get is fresh from the oven. For the main we also ordered a seafood paella. The seafood starters come in succession and are a good way to fill the paella preparation time. Oysters were Mediterranean flax oysters (I think,) and medium size, something more salty than Atlantic oysters. The scallops were beautifully cooked in olive oil and placed on the dishes. Small but sweet and delicate. The mussels were cooked in a fresh tomato sauce and the Gambas de Palamos were sweet and well cooked. We only had one, so my daughter decided to eat them carefully. Paella was good with a good amount of different seafood. Best Paella I had in Spain. I am usually disappointed by Spanish restaurant paellas, as it is rarely as good as my own paella mista (in my and my family opinion) and Spanish food can be salted too much (IMO). They also tend to be a lot of rice with small amounts of seafood. Not here. They only sell Spanish wines and most mix grape varieties that are common in Spain. The wine was pleasant and cheap for a restaurant"

It's always a good bet but this time the rice was a bit salty and the service, to order note, has been very slow.! it's true that very attentive, clean., as always

We ask for fish and two paellas. It was good though the fish was not fresh. impossible to put the smaller cokes. Like I say, the good dishes, the price something high for what it is.

delicious food! all we have asked for was the oysters, the best I have tried, the ceviche was spectacular and the very good rice. Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in vic!

Fantastic place, excellent food, very attentive staff, highly recommended! The hosts acommodated us on the terrace despite the lack of reservation, recommended what to choose from the menu, even spoken English for our comfort, we enjoyed our visit very much.

Visited for a late dinner and chose a table on the square next to the restaurant. Friendly staff. For the starter you can choose between several varieties of seafood prepared in different ways (price per 100 g). We had roasted squids, steamed mussels and roasted shrimps, all very good and steamed hot. The picture shows the selection of fresh seafood to choose from. As the name says, the restaurant has a focus on rice and seafood in the main courses. Our lobster-based rice dish (which I cannot remember the name) was also exquisite and very tasty. Would definitely visit again.

We came to this restaurant for a recommendation and the experience has been good. to start we have ordered a burrata salad with confectionate tomatoes and pesto sauce, it is a dish that has dripped us and we will copy at home. We've also ordered some mussels to the sailor that were very good, so we've finished the sauce after we had the mussels. We have also asked for very rich garlic and parsley tellins and some zamburiñas. to finish we have served a pier very good, tender and delicious balfego. In the end we have been tempted with the desserts and with the good looks they had we decided to try the homemade tiramisu and it was spectacular.

"Can Jubany is about 100 km North of BCN and is Nandu Jubany 's vanguard kitchen in search of serious perfection of the farm to table concept. We found Can Jubany worthy of the trip from BCN as the cuisine was ingredient driven, not involving alien flavors just for weirdness sake as has become the gastronomic trend of some gastronomic kitchens. Can Jubany embraces the farm to table model and ensures the high quality of his raw materials by actually growing most them in the small garden and farm that is across the parking lot from the restaurant. These raw materials, fresh from his actual farm next door, are then refined to an extraordinary level while maintaining their recognizable flavor in his glass enclosed kitchen. During our tour of the small farm, asparagus, tomatoes, beets, peas, herbs and calçots were in season and the chicken and other fowl were providing both eggs and meat for the various dishes. Can Jubany might best be described as a down to earthy masia restaurant where locals gather together to enjoy excellent Catalan food on weekends together. There is also an outdoor patio were dinners gather post dinning to enjoy more libations and a cigar or two. For us, our food entertainment was lunch that took place over a 4 hour period and was titled A Stroll Around Catalunya and included: Pork 's tribute Jubany sausage, cracking cheek port, andpork belly foam in an edible rice cone Vegetable garden included red beet, blue cheese and prune Pumpkin gnocchi parmesan cheese serum and Iberian ham Puffed pastry with foie gras, caramelized figs and a little salad Codfish brandada cannelloni, onions and honey Sautéed ceps mushrooms with pork belly and egg yoke Sea cucumber rice with langoustines broth Hake cooked iat slow temperature with pickled vegetables Roasted young lamb with potatoes puree, vegetables and mushrooms Desserts included seasonal vegetables dessert; dessert of citrus fruits and textures; The wine pairings were also well selected/matched to complement the tastes of each course(s), and included: Carles Andreu Trepat Rose (D.O. Cava); Sameiras 1040 (D.O Ribeiro); Venus La Universal (D.O. Montsant); Rasim vi pansit blanc (D.O. Costers del Segre) ; and Mas Llunes Garnatxa Solera (D.O. Emporda). The Mas Llunes and Rasim were clearly some of the best wine we have ever tasted. Not surprising as the Mas Llunes was awarded the Great Golden VINAR 2013 of all 700+ competing wines from Catalonia. Our only observation regarding the sommelier was that they were very knowledgeable but were always asking 'what kind of wine would you like to have with the next course . So overall, as we have noted in another of our gastronomic adventures, Can Jubany is currently a Michelin 1* restaurant that in our exploration was producing Michelin 2* cuisine. Clearly you know when you have had a fantastic gastronomic experience when you can remember the highlights (many of them) months later. Now, if we could only figure out how to get from Barcelona to Can Jubany easily vs an expensive cab ride each way or stay in a hotel near by for the evening."
