Very good surprise. Small charming inn ...repas excellent.. warm welcome...we will return for frogs. Keep going.

Superb establishment, an ideal setting to take a break and we are very welcome. Cécile en cuisine et Charles au service sont aux petits soins avec leurs clientèles ce qui est très agréable. I highly recommend and enjoy all those who stop there.

Disappointed by the dishes to wonder if it is homemade?. Input presentation of the crudities and quantity for the cheese portions to review. For cheese, it looks like a tasting of a small piece of each of the 3 cheeses in the plate. I don't think I'm going back even if the people who hold this little restaurant are friendly. After a week in Perigord for daughter Avery's opera program, our family of three was taking the "less traveled road" eastward to Gstaad. Having found nowhere to eat dinner in Giat, we were fortunate to stumble across this tiny and wonderful establishment. It was Friday and they were serving a reservations-only menu fixe, and though they were sold out of the night's menu, they welcomed us warmly, serving us the best sandwiches of our vacation! Next time in France we will certainly visit this petite auberge to sample their finer culinary treats!

From the corner we stopped in this charming little hostel for lunch. And we were not disappointed! A good family home kitchen; a slate with two menus in flat cheese dessert and coffee; a short but sufficient choice to satisfy everyone; rich and tasty dishes that make us think of the traditional granny cuisine. We didn’t leave a miette! Special mention of the blueberry pie and its brioche paste. All in all simplicity, without chichis, in a bucolic setting, "cut as all." And charming guests who offered us a few portions of cheese that we couldn’t taste during the meal so we were satisfied. A very appreciable gesture! Thank you!

Love the place, not that large and struggles to seat 20 persons with even the Bar filling up lunchtimes with workers looking to fill up.At 14euro a head including wine, you get a starter,main,cheese board,desert and I am not sure if the coffee is also included.We go once a month and I have to say that the Owners are always there to welcome everyone into their restaurant.They have special weekend and evening meals, where you can feast on frogs legs until your hearts content, if you have such a desire.Do not arrive after 12 noon if you want a seat and even then be prepared to dine at the Bar if the Pompiers (firemen) are there on mass having their outing.This is a local gem for those who can f... this auberge is in the main for the local workers, sometimes very difficult to get a booking due to its size, it has covers for about 20 people, sitting outside is available in summer and they allow well kept animals sitting with. cussine is simply composed of an offered set menu of a starter, in which regular pata or a simple salad, followed by the meal of the day, followed by a dessert and coffee, is served with a selection of complimentary house red or house white wine and they do this all for 14euro per person, which is a tasty! downside is, they have to be ready to eat what is offered on the a la carte that will double or blow their budget, they cost more like 60euro for 2 people includ...
