"I was very disappointed with this restaurant and it's about 20-30% more expensive than my favourite Thai in Toulouse. There was one dish which they did very well, but it's a starter, but our main dishes (green curry, red curry) were not quite up to scratch; and the pad thai was terrible. They did not add any sauce so the rice noodles tasted of absolutely nothing, not even garlic - and I'm a noodle expert! For pad thai, the gold standard is Sukhothai down the road.Baan Siam's papaya salad starter was passable, but they were very stingey on the dried prawns and peanuts so this changed the taste considerably. The curries - never a favourite of mine - were presented in a breakfast dish, so they were small and quite measly really.I often give a restaurant two visits before deciding, but to be honest, I wouldn't go again."

Baan Siam is great!_From the english-speaking Thai waitress, to the wonderful food and decor, this restaurant is a pleasant surprise from the norm.

i loved my lunch here ! Shrimp were medium sized, and cooked perfectly! All parties were pescatarian or vegan and there were lovely options! nice atmosphere!

Tucked away in a side street in the lovely area of Carmes, I've eaten here twice and enjoyed both times. The traditional curries are to die for and the soup makes a great starter. Once my friend had pad thai and it looked lovely, with all fresh ingredients. It's a little small and shabby inside but this adds to its charm in my opinion. Giving it 4 stars instead of 5 as I found the service quite slow. But recommend! Speisekarte ansehen

I went there twice so far and planning to go back, as I really like the atmosphere, and the food tastes amazing! I am vegan, and I have been easily catered for, and tofu has been used as a replacement. Service is also really friendly and relatively fast. The waiter gave us lots of fun Thai facts! Waiting time for food was reasonable. Just remember you can't use your credit card here, but cash machines are around the corner.

Our family ate at this centrally located (about a 3-minute walk from Esquirol Metro station) restaurant 3 times during our time in Toulouse at the beginning and end of a 3-week holiday. Although not a vegetarian restaurant, Baan Siam offers a range of vegetarian dishes, many of which are either vegan or can be made as vegan. We particularly enjoyed the fried tofu with dipping sauce, and the vermicelli with vegetables. Service was prompt and friendly, and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking vegan or vegetarian food in Toulouse.

After some strong reviews we decided to try Baan Siam and one of our Thai favourites is coconut soup to start. We have eaten this dish in Thai restaurants everywhere and this was almost unrecognisable. Bland soup, hardly spicy and almost watery. Lots of vegetables but minimal flavour. Oh well, never mind...we thought red and green curry shouldn't be a problem )!(.Both curries were neither red nor green...they were white and as bland as the coconut soup. In fact I would have suspected that they served us the soup twice, had the contents of the curries been different. Without doubt the worst Thai meal we have ever eaten. Speisekarte ansehen

I went to dinner there with one of my friends who lives about 5 minutes away. He knows I like really spicy food so he recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint. They are able to make the food spicy enough for my liking but at the same time the food is not just hot, the flavor is also very good. This is in downtown Toulouse so driving there can be a pain due to the traffic. There is a parking garage very close by where you can park - it's very hard finding a place where you can park on the street - especially if you are used to parking like an American. They don't accept credit cards so you will need to have Euro's with you to pay.

The Thai scene in France is slowly improving. Which means you can now find an alternative to the horrendous pan-"Asian places hitherto so common, advertising themselves as offering Vietnamese, Thai, Burmese, Chinese, and other Asian cuisine. Ugh! Anyhow, Baan Siam is the real thing. No Chinese, no Vietnamese, just real Thai. It's a small place on a quiet street off busy Rue Filatiers. I had green curry tofu and veggies, which I asked to be spiced "almost Thai-spicy", i.e, one level below. And they complied. It was very spicy, to the point where I cried, but not too much. Good flavor, could have been less liquidy. And for dessert I had a big portion of coconut ice cream. Friendly service, ple...

"It was very very good! For drinks we had a homemade lemonade and a Hibiscus/mint iced tea (it really reminds us of bissap) which were very good. The beef mandu (dumplings) were incredible!!!! We loved it. The fried chicken was very good and plentiful for the price and accompanied by fresh radish pickles. The shredded beef bao was delicious clearly. The tteokbokki were really excellent, delicious and precisely spicy. The crispy salmon was not bad but too salty for my taste to titillate. The hotteok for dessert was very good. I would have liked the black sesame ice cream too but we didn't have any more room...that will be for next time. The presentation of the dishes is careful. The score is 50th for 2 knowing that we ate a lot. The staff are lovely and very helpful. There was a bit of a wait but it didn't bother us. Remember to book if possible because it gets crowded. Especially if you are a group. Afterwards we came without a reservation and were still able to eat. I recommend. For me the best Korean in Toulouse that I have tried for the moment (even if perhaps not pure tradition) with the P'tit Louis in St Cyp but which is only open at lunchtime. For the bibimbap I can't say we haven't tried it yet.
