"Our first night in Ortigia and chanced upon this restaurant. Not particularly busy, which eventually surprised us (it should be). Charming 'front of house ' who presented us with an 'amuse bouche ' of Aranchini. Have had enough of these to know they are usually on a spectrum of interesting to very ordinary. This was a wonderful example with squid-ink rice and ricotta in a light crisp ball of flavour. Followed this with a Primi Platti of pasta and tuna, but what set this apart was the subtle use of fresh herbs that lifted this dish to another level. For our Secondi Platti my wife had a prawn dish and I had pan fried ombrini fish; both delicious. We washed this down with a delicious but reasonably priced Etna white wine. The restaurant is next to the competitive area of Via della Maestranza which may explain why it is not always full. It should be."

The restaurant is small and very charming! The food is absolutely delicious! The service was quick and efficient. The tuna and shrimp tartar (pictured) was my favorite, but whole meal was great!

My wife and I just had a delicious lunch at Bella Vita today. A lot of attention to details. Surprises from the chef, even though we only had two dishes (pasta and dessert). A beautiful and relax atmosphere, a bit away from the affluence. As guests, we felt welcome and even celebrated! Speisekarte ansehen

A very nice small restaurant on a quiet walking street in Oritigia. We ate at one of the outside tables. The food was very good and well presented. The one waitress was very nice and explained everything. One of our top meals in Sicily. Reservations recommended since it is a small place.

CONSIGLIATO!! Locale ben arredato e ben tenuto, il personale è molto cordiale e piacevole. Ora veniamo al cibo: semplicemente OTTIMO. Noi abbiamo mangiato antipasto (cous cous di verdure e tartare di tonno) ed erano davvero ottimi, i tagliolini tonno e pomodorini sono divini è buonissimo anche il calamaro panato. Cannolo squisito! Insomma se volete mangiare bene in un ambiente tranquillo e intimo questo è il posto giusto, anche il prezzo e nella media. Super approvato!!!!

"a dinner in general good, though with some dripping. the quality of raw materials is certainly excellent but not always appreciated at the most. I felt a bit on the roller coaster with a beaten finish. Although the place I like for its modern and minimal style, I find that there is a lack of personality and identity. the atmosphere is elegant and welcoming. the service was accurate, punctual and never intrusive. special mention to the sommelier who recommended me a great wine and a novelty for me, with the menu degotato. begins with a degotation of oil and focaccia. Stop, you can't leave! among other things all yeast from their products are very unified. the moment of the event is an explosion of flavors, three particular and delicious finger food, especially the enamelled fig. the appetizer provides tuna with figs and pistachios.
