Limited menu with a twist. Quite young staff that is not necessarily very helpfull Place was crowded with a mix young old although this looks like a place that will be popular with students Not too expensive but a bit pretentious

If ambiance is pretty good, service not at all: four people, two choises but a long wait between the various courses, all arrived at different times. Little choice on the menu and in the wines. A dish loaded despite the mistake by the waiter.

Had a very enjoyable dinner here, nice ambience and pleasant service. It's not advertised but the menu here is all tapas, very nice with a range of hot and cold dishes but not the traditional entrees and main courses some diners might be expecting. Speisekarte ansehen

We went here on a recommendation and it was everything we were told. The food is fantastic the kind you want to savor and eat slowly in small bites because there is so much wonderful flavor. The staff is very helpful and gluten free...food is no trouble at all. I highly recommend this restaurant.

WE enjoyed Bistrot La Pena very much, especially as the restaurants options seemed to be quite limited in Amiens. We were staying in Corbie, about minutes drive, so our choices were even more limited. At Bistrot La Pena my husband enjoyed the steak tartare...which was very creatively presented, and I enjoyed the fish of the day a type of bass.

Cosy little gem with exceptional creations! We had croquettes filled with creamy leek filling, and a veal carpaccio delicately dressed with pesto and chili flakes and mushrooms as entrees.. Then we had an interesting dish of veal liver coated with a sauce of parsley capsicums...and chillis and a delectable dish of filet mignon served with mashed sweet potatoes dressed with a delightful sauce! This restaurant was recommended by the hotel round the corner. We both had the special of scallops, razor clams, potatoes, green beans and mushrooms with an amazing veal sauce and were blown away by the quality. It wasn't cheap but was worth every cent....Dad had figs poached in red wine for dessert, beautifully presented on little sablé biscuits, with lovely decorative touches, which again he raved about. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, a wonderful find... contemplating going back for our second and final night here!

I have now eaten times here over the space of years so I can give a medium term view. It is excellent. Good staff, attentive and helpful. Super food, really imaginative, well presented and reasonably priced. Excellent entrees I had poached egg...on the last visit, wonderful main which was cod and a dessert which was a greengage tarte a little piece of heaven. including wine and beer for the friend I was there with. I had water so add a bit more for alcohol for both diners. In all superb, I will be certain to go on all future trips to Amiens.

Because a planning-mistake on our end we ended up a night in Amiens on our way further down south in France. It ended up being a happy-accident. We stayed in a wonderful bnb next door to this restaurant and had asked for a suggestions semi-nearby...the bnb because we didn't want to travel all across town. The restaurant ended up being literally next door to our bnb. This is when we were looking at each other and wondered if the recommendation was genuine, or just friend-related. We decided to enter and try. We could always leave and go elsewhere. When we entered, after the Cathedral light-show, the restaurant was half-full, but it was early.
