"I called in to the smokery as a lone dinner, I was greeted from the bar tender who was absolutely lovely, very friendly. I was given a menu and within five minutes shown to a table I ordered the Mediterranean fish soup and chips, which will cook to perfection. The soup was absolutely gorgeous. The waiter was a French gentleman, very friendly, very helpful and as I was alone diner, I did not feel alone excellent place highly recommended have use before with my partner. Will definitely go again weather with my partner or by myself, thank you to all the staff at the wye Smokery"

"We recently had a private family party in the cafe, with 20+ adults and 10 children. They opened the cafe especially for us after normal closing time on a Sunday. The staff were lovely, we didn't notice them in our party but they were on hand for anything we needed, and they were very friendly, polite and helpful. The food was delicious, lots of fresh cream cakes! They had also made alternative gluten free choices for us which we had requested. We will definitely be returning for our next family get together, which will probably be in the summer, when they said we can also use the outside space which will be great. Would definitely recommend, and I will also be returning to visit the cafe within normal opening hours."

"We have been to this pub before to watch the Severn Bore and always had an excellent time! Nothing better than a breakfast while watching the bore from this pub!! So when my car started shaking on the A38 I knew if I could get it to The Severn Bore I would have a safe place to wait for recovery! I had no idea just how well they would look after us! The staff, management and customers were awesome! We were welcomed in and looked after as if we were family! My eight year old daughter had the best time on the bouncy castles (yes two bouncy castles) and play park in their garden. I was given the wifi password and offered use of their phone and they even fixed my car before the breakdown people arrived (the wheels bolts had come loose on my front tires). Nothing was too much trouble… I’m so grateful for how they looked after us! These have to be the nicest people running a pub anywhere on Earth! We will be back soon for roast and of course to watch the next bore!!"

"Stopped on the spur of the moment and was not disappointed! Fab steak and kidney pie, fresh peas, the pie was full of meltingly tender beef and lovely chunks of kidney in a rich gravy. Topped off with crumble and ice cream with a pint of crisp cold cider, superb. My wife had the hunters chicken and Eton mess equally as lovely and not a scrap left. Value for money, nice staff and good cider. I rest my case. Try it!"
