"The place was ticking over when I visited on a Tuesday evening. I was offered a fixed (not particularly low) price for a buffet. The friendly proprietor established that I was English and explained that his food was spiced to French tastes, which I might find a bit bland. He was right, although the flight of sauces, including strong chilli, helped. There was nothing wrong with the dishes on the buffet, although none of them were exceptional, but only two contained meat and those were both chicken-based. I would have liked a lamb option, for instance, and/or some fish."

respectful and friendly staff. The food was correct but not awesome. small portions but still decent value. The naan bread was great. may be worth the detour.

We ate here on out first night in Lyon and we was very impressed. The host was a lovely man who explained the menu to us and even gave us some great facts. The food was really nice and great portions. If we was in Lyon for longer than a weekend we would definitely have eaten here again.

Very friendly service! Had a seekh kebab (not really grilled to perfection) and a dal makhni which is served with red beans. The mango lassi was thck and delicious! Not yet sure what to make out of this restaurant and will likely go there again. Apparently they are in the midst of changing the menu. Big disappintments: No Wifi and one must pay cash

while staying in lyon, you may be tempted by traditional French cuisine. Don't be! this restaurant has everything to please, the staff is very friendly, the food is exceptional, it is one of the best meals I have had for a very long time. Don't miss this jewel during your next visit to lyon! Make sure you order the chicken wings in the entrance, they are amazing!

I had dinner here. the staff was friendly, attentive and helpful - explaining different combinations to try with their food, which was excellent. while I was commanding in French, other customers were commanding in English and we receive exactly the same friendly and attentive treatment. very good price to crown everything. I'm so glad I fell on this little jewel!

we chose bollywood tandoor among the three best Indian lyon and happy to have done it after our experience. You choose a main dish and the accompaniment is a delicious buffet of admissions, accompaniment dishes and desserts. we choose the tandoori duck and the salmon that were both cooked to perfection, the other strong points were the pakoras, the paneer with spinach, the gulab jamun

We had a reservation for lunch even if we might not need it. We were warmly welcomed and showed our table by a man we think we are the owner. he brought us a dish of spicy sauces differently and explained each one of them. He then took us to the buffet to explain each of the elements, then let us fill our plates while bringing our wine. each of the dishes we tried was perfectly fresh and had better taste than any other Indian restaurant we've ever visited. Tandoori chicken was soft and delicious.

we are really delighted to have found this jewel of Indian cuisine: food is exquisite and the owner is a very pleasant and interesting person to meet. we went to dinner twice during our stay and the two times we were warmly welcomed. You choose a main dish and the accompaniment is a delicious vegetarian buffet of entrances, accompaniment dishes and desserts. the staff was friendly and just speak enough English so that you feel like home. this restaurant does not accept payments by card but there is a ticket distributor nearby. We really recommend!

"My wife and I dined here on a Saturday night (having made a reservation several days in advance), and it was one of the best dining experiences we have had in France in a long time. We reserved for the early seating, showed up on time, and were among the first customers there. We had a small table near the door. The disadvantage is that we were occasionally wafted by a cold draft from the front door. The bigger advantage was that we were sitting near the restaurant's beautiful, precision, hand-operated meat slicer. The specialty starter is beef that has been cured for seven months with seven spices. It is sliced paper thin (and that is no exaggeration) and served heaped on a plate. Heavenly. My wife and I ordered only one of these plates and it was more than ample for the two of us.That was followed by our starters. I ordered the minestrone marocain légèrement épicé comme à Tanger (Moroccan minestrone, lightly spiced as in Tangiers), and my wife the rillettes de crabe aux petits légumes et Granny Smith (shredded crab with little vegetables and pieces of Granny Smith apple). Both were delicious. For our main dishes I had a pavé de cerf (deer steak), which was ample and perfectly cooked. My wife had fish, also cooked to perfection. I don't recall the wine we ordered, but the choice was from wines that were at their peak (not just wines one or two years old), yet the prices were reasonable. One remark about the decore: it manages to be a bit traditional and modern at the same time, with reproductions of paintings by Modigliani and various early 20th-century (mainly French) artists adorning the wall.Overall, a restaurant worth going out of your way for."
