Buffet della Stazione FFS

The food is good, even if the pizza was a little bit burnt. The rest is okay. The place is spacious and luminous.

Stopped and had ham and cheese panini with cappuccino. It was tasty but I think something else would have been better.

Good selection on the menus, fair prices and attendive friendly service. Nice different areas to drink and also to have a tasty meal. We recommend this place. Speisekarte ansehen

We have been at this restaurant several times, with the whole family: these people know about service, since they deal with travelers each day and the quality of the Italian-style food is very good.

Definitely a good place to eat in Lugano station. They serve the usual Italian dishes like pizza and pasta. We ordered the fillet de perch (fish from the lake) and it was excellent. The griiled vegetables were tasty too.

This week I went to this restaurant for an Indian dinner, something available each year and to which I look forward. We ordered Bindaloo and Shami kabab. We wouldn't normally think to go to a station cafe/restaurant for dinner but this place was suggested to us by our hotel receptionist. The staff were friendly and helpful and on our waiter's suggestion we enjoyed two rostis which we shared (Raclette and St Gallen)...and had a small salad each from the salad bar (usual ingredients, nothing very interesting but it was fresh). The house wine (local Merlot) went down well and we couldn't resist a coffee and cake to follow. Given the simple surroundings it was still oretty pricey but we'd had a good feed. Would return if near Lugano station again.

Tonight my family and I went to Buffet because they have some monthly special events and we wanted to give it a try. The restaurants is at the main train station, offers plenty of seats and parking spaces nearby. The interior is a bit outdated,...but clean and well kept though. We ordered several dishes of rösti and I tried their pizza. Everything was more than satisfying, prices were good (12chf for my pizza!! And portions were decent, although not big enough for my appetite... so I had a carrot cake as dessert. Overall both my family and I left satisfied, and happy because staff was corteous too.
