"The food was excellent. The chicken and mushroom mix as a main was the best food I have eaten while travelling through France. It was just unbelievable!Unfortunately, a sour taste was left via the set menu experience which has the option of starter + main or main + dessert (as do many restaurants in Arle). This in itself is fine but we queried it as the cost was 27€ but none of the available combinations (there were limits in place) added up to 27€! Our French speaking companion asked twice to ensure it was correct and was told both times it was, that was just the way it was. Hmmmm. We ordered off the menu instead and experienced excellent meals for less than the set menu price. Disappointing service considering how FABULOUS the food was."

Weitresses were very polite, food very good, wine also, charming place, opened when other restaurants closed. Toiled in bad condition.

One of the best places in Arles we visited. Great view, outstanding meals and honest owner (he gave me money back when I gave a larger sum by mistake).

Excellent Restaurant within yards of the amphitheatre. Friendly service, good food and prices. From the two tables outside you can see the amphitheatre but the prices are still good.

We were totally underwhelmed with the food and consider it over priced given the size of the portions. We had the plat du jour which was like a starter than a main course. The staff were efficient and friendly.

Excellent food and service. A great menu to choose from and excellent wines. We booked but is available to what seating was free..Staff were very friendly and helpful and could speak English when our French failed.

The place is nice, original and cosy. It's located at the feet of the arena. The menu is various. The staff friendly and quick. However, our dinner was not perfect. The sea fruits were clearly not fresh, even if the global taste of the dish was Ok. The lentils soup was tasty. If I will come once more to Arles I will try it again!

This small restaurant serves Algerian,French and other food, but mainly those two, with an interesting twist, making all the dishes unusual. We have been several times and take friends there and initially they are impressed by the decor but then discover the flavours, subtleties, blends and aromas from the kitchen and in front as the food arrives. Wow! was heard many times. The restaurant is even open on nights when others are closed and opens early as well.

This little restaurant is just a few seconds away from the Roman amphitheater. You may think for a moment that you are going to fall into a tourist trap but you're not. Food is freshly prepared, tasty. I loved the lemon chicken salad and the special of the day, pasta with scallops. And as a bonus, in a country where coffee is often mediocre, here it was delicious, served with a little biscuit called navette. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend it!

Looks cute and the menu outside seemed good....So we actually waited for it to open just after 7..... Ish! Between us we had 2 burgers and 3 entrecôte steaks.. We waited quite a while. The burgers were ok but served in a piece of baguette instead of a bun.... Only one of the 3 steaks was correctly cooked medium rare...and the salad didn't arrive till the end of the meal. Chips were good! My pancake desert was rubbery and must have been made earlier and microwaved.. The kitchen is not visible... The toilet was horrible... Me and the lady before me had to ask how to flush...some knob or lever near the floor! Overall very disappointing....

"This restaurant is part of a hotel in a very impressive 16th century building. It looks very classy. However, the night we were there, there must have been some serious problems in the kitchen (or maybe it is always like that . We started with a shared plate of charcuterie which took a long time to arrive – how long does it take to arrange the cold meats on a plate? We then waited a very, very long time for our main courses. While waiting, we saw a dispute at another table involving the maître d’ and resulting in plates going back to the kitchen. We had both ordered duck à l’orange which came with Camargue rice. The rice appeared to have been baked in the oven and was so crisp and dry that it resembled a cereal bar. The ‘orange’ was not the usual sauce, but instead was four cubes of orange that appeared to have been scorched on a grill. They added nothing to the dish. It had been suggested that we should share a side of seasonal vegetables. These turned out to be big chunks of boiled potatoes (with rice! , a boiled root vegetable and a couple of dry artichokes. We had interchanges with two servers and the maître d – all were cold and brusque. We lived in France for more than 20 years and appreciate the fact that the French like to take their time with meals, but there is a big difference between leisurely and glacially slow. Perhaps we were there on a bad night, others seem to have had a better experience."
