Cafe Amici - Speisekarte

We try to visit Amici for breakfast as frequently as we can. The service is fast, the staff is friendly, and we highly recommend the full English breakfast.

Lovely breakfast. Had salmon and scrambled egg toast and a coffee. Good service. Warm comfortable atmosphere. Good selection on the menu. We shall definitely return. Plenty of homemade cakes and bread.

Having previously sung the praises of Amici I feel compelled to comment on the recent notable decline in food quality and atmosphere. I've visited three times since it started to falter and each visit has been equally disappointing. Speisekarte ansehen

As another reviewer has put...Oh Dear!! This place used to be fantastic, looks look they've changed owners, previously run by an Italian chef, now an English Breakfast bloke has taking over. The menu is the same, the cooking skills are not.

I have visited this cafe before, but only to have coffee and cake, which I have to say each time was very nice indeed. This time I had lunch which was very good. A decent sized sandwich on artisan bread with lots of filling, chips and salad. I also had a good coffee. It was served quickly too. Will be visiting again.

I have eaten in this cafe and also had take always. All occasions have been excellent the quality of food is outstanding both eating in and taking away. The service and staff are brilliant the owners should be very proud of their team. If I pull up for a take away they come out and serve me cause I am a wheelchair user, that to me is outstanding and appreciated. Speisekarte ansehen

Average quality, some decent cakes. Not value for money but the staff are friendly enough for me to overlook that. The front of the house isn't very nice but the little area at the back is bright and pleasant. Unfortunately, it's cold, and you can see the comings and goings of the kitchen and pass which does not add to a nice ambiance. And neither does the toilet next to the tables be aware, everyone can hear everything you do in there!

My teenage daughter and I stopped by for dinner on a Thursday evening. The atmosphere was laid back and the menu had a good selection, mostly Italian-inspired. Even though it was evening, my daughter requested a sandwich and they happily accommodated her. I ordered the linguini marinara with a side of marinated olives, which came with homemade garlic bread. Everything was excellent and hot, with generous portions that left us feeling satisfied. We live nearby and will definitely be returning as regular customers.

It was very quiet on my Saturday afternoon visit but it was really pleasant inside, a little on the small side but this could pass off as been exclusive. My only vice is the coffee wasn’t the hottest. On the counter there were the hugest domes of bread that really did look impressive, homemade and rustic. Being a huge lover of bread I was massively enticed to take one home to devour later, I resisted. The menu is classic, appetizers, bruschetta and pastas there was something modern but authentic about the dishes as well as an impressive specials board. I originally wanted a small snack but was drawn in by the bruschetta- chicken, salami and chili with a tomato sauce served with a side salad.... Speisekarte ansehen
