Café Murano - Covent Garden

The food was very nice, but after looking at the website before booking i really was expecting something more. I don’t think our pasta was handmade etc. Just pretty standard italian food that you can get anywhere in London.

Perfect evening with the family. The staff were super kind and helpful, the food was excellent and very well priced (the kid's menu is exceptional value for money) and the atmosphere was lovely. The kids loved it just as much as the grown ups.

High price italian restaurant in Covent Garden. I really enjoyed the food, was delicious from the starter to the dessert. The bread with oil, the Gnocchi, the tiramisù and panna cotta, so tasty. It's just a pity that the Osso Buco had no enough meat on it, but was alright. Waiting to try other dishes next time

We stopped by Cafe Murano for a pre-theatre dinner. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy and welcoming and the staff were lovely as well. We went for the set menu which is a great value for money and very tasty. Especially the ox cheek was super tender and paired beautifully with creamy polenta. Overall great Italian food with simple but quality ingredients. I recommend going for the fixed price menu if it’s your first time to try it out. It can be a bit pricey otherwise!

We headed into town for a Saturday evening meal at Murano, and we had a lovely time. We had a really nice table by a fireplace with candles and this set a really nice atmosphere, and the staff were all really friendly and helpful. The pasta with spicy sausage (not really spicy but still lovely) was the highlight for me, though all of our dishes were great. If you're in town for a show or something, this is a great spot for a mid-priced meal, and was really nice and cosy for a couple. Excellent.

We returned to cafe murano last night after being asked back by the management due to an unfortunate previous experience with a pork chop. Oh my god we had an excellent meal and a wonderful evening. The staff couldn't do enough and our waiter Luciano was charming and engaging and really made us feel welcome. The food was excellent and extremely tasty. We could not fault it..my pasta was so tasty and my wife's plaice dish was a delight.. We really didn't want dessert but Luciano recommended we share the peach and almond tart and now I'm regretting not having one if my own..it was delicious. We will definitely be back when we come to London again.

Very disappointing meal. The starter of buffalo mozzarella with lentils was just two ingredients put on a plate, no seasoning, dressing or flavour to speak of what so ever. The pasta dishes were fine but the pasta was really under cooked (not al dente) and the gnocchi was just mush. We had the steak and chicken milanese, which were tasty on their own but come with no sides or sauces so massively overpriced, we ordered the roast potatoes which were anaemic and undercooked, a common theme was that nothing had any seasoning on it. A beautiful experience at Cafe Murano, this came highly recommended by family, and I was so pleased they were able to squeeze me in last minute, at the bar, for a pre-theatre supper (though booking is recommended! The staff were very friendly and able to recommend excellent dishes on the menu to help me decide. I opted for the Primavera Risotto, which was gloriously silky smooth risotto with yellow courgette, asparagus, and wafer-thin spring onion slices. It was light, fresh and very flavoursome, and not ‘claggy’ like some risottos can be. The rest of the menu looked delicious and I will definitely return with more people and for more courses!
