A good cheap dinner! They don't focus on the visual but the quality is good according to price. I can highly recommend going there for a nice meal, will come back for sure another time

Pepe marrero has been living on the English beach and knows very well the tourist who visits his home, treats us wonderful and we could enjoy a lot of delicious solo with a friendly and very friendly staff.

Staff were superb- attentive, welcoming and helpful. The menu was quite traditional but extensive ands we were happy with choices including soup and ham with melon as starters, followed by two meat based dishes. This was washed down with wine and beer and carajillos to end a great meal. Good honest food and a relaxing environment for less than 50 euros.

We tried out the Carlos V in the Cita centre, the set menu offers good choice and value BUT they could do so much better with the presentation of the dishes, starters were both fine, tasty and they then let themselves down with the main courses, food was good but there was served with just chips and no vegetables or any kind of side salad or garnish, with just a little bit more thought they could be so much better. Wine price was good.

Very disappointed, No Welcome, no smiles, no atmosphere, average food served , but cold Canarian potatoes!! I think we took them by Surprise being English!!!! It was a random choice for two hungry guys early one Wednesday evening. I had sole, my friend had pork as a main course with bread and alioli, salted peppers and avocadand prawns between us to start. I have to say that my expectations were not high but in most things surpassed. The alioli was not good, the avocado and prawn reminiscent of prawn cocktail of bygone era, but the main courses were very very palatable and well presented. Went to Carlos V with friends. On arrival at 5.30pm we were told there were no inside tables available, but no explanation why. There were a few outside tables so we had no alternative but to sit there. The first waiter was an older man with no personality at all. We ordered and a second waiter came to our table with the same abrupt rude attitude. It appeared they were waiting for the large party who had booked the inside restaurant. I have to first say the quality of steak and the price we paid for it was an absolute steal! This was our first visit to the restaurant. We had a decent steak nearby and both these restaurants had been recommended. This year we opted for Carlos V. After reading recent reviews about service, I have to say it is a contrast to our experience. The waiter was polite, warm, friendly and accommodating.
