"We had dinner at Casa Cipri, and I must say, it was one of our favourite meals on our trip. The asparagus with ham was cooked beautifully, and the portion was quite good. I followed that with a steak that was done to perfection. My wife started with a delicious smoked salmon over small romain lettuce wedges. She followed that up with cod and red peppers and onions. Another dish cooked to perfection. In addition to all this great food, the service was outstanding. We felt like family by the time we left. Our server realized right away that we were struggling somewhat with the language. He gave us a table, and started to look after us, saving all from embarrassing, broken conversation. He started us off with some delicious wine from Toro, and brought out a slice of warm vegetable pie with a nice, flakey crust. That was a warm up for the delicious meal we had. They finished the meal by bringing out a small bottle of herb liquor, and a small bottle of cream liquor as digestives, on the house. So, thanks for the great evening out in Zamora. This was the closest restaurant we could find to the hotel. The only issue we had was that the kitchen did not open until 9.00 However while waiting even though there was a language barrier, the staff offered us Tapas with our drinks. We really enjoyed. Had the steak, Jamon plate both very good. Local wine is also very very good, chupitos before leaving. Would recommend.
