I had an excellent experience with the service, and the meal was wonderful. They paid special attention to my daughter's celiac needs, which I really appreciated. The desserts were fabulous, and the restaurant itself is stunning.

I just got back from a three-night getaway in Portmeirion, and I'm already planning our next visit. Everything at the Castell exceeded our expectations, but it was the staff that truly set it apart. For the dinner, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all as 5 out of 5.

I visited the restaurant on a Friday evening and opted for the evening seating. Unfortunately, this means it's unlikely to have a spot in the winter garden, which I consider the best seating area. The food was decent, though not as substantial as I had anticipated. However, I did choose a dessert—warm treacle tart—which was beautifully presented and enjoyed it.

The reception on a winter with the blazing hot open wood fire is wonderful. The meal was very good with a great selection of food from the menu. All cooked and served well. This is a fine dining experience. Service was good, fast and friendly. There were vegetarian options on the menu. Access to the restaurant from outside is all level with no steps. Covid has presented some organisations with some proper challenges. Restaurants in particular with reduced capacities and timid punters who won 't come out to play yet were on the ropes until the chancellor bailed them with some tax payers ' hard earned cash. Since a two or three course Sunday lunch here gets you free entry into Portmeirion a hearty £37 off my bill for the four of us if you 're planning to visit anyway it was a no brainer that we should eat at the Brasserie. Currently you can only eat if you book in advance and by phone no on line booking is available which I 'd certainly recommend since we saw at least 3 couples turned down due to the place being fully booked up great news...
