"discovering in tourists the hall of the covered market (near St. Stephen's Cathedral) is a revelation. This is where will be spotted at the turn of the corridors and shops, the dishes announced on the Ardoise-du-Jour with the rustic tables and their benches "in the mauricette". all of this in the middle of young servers that are flying, stalls specializing in the hall, under the "serrated and good-child" of the manager-du-day passionate about his profession (the boss being exceptionally absent). As lunch time was very advanced, we were able to taste an excellent homemade soup, but we were unable to get the local speciality of the day (a kind of beautiful smokeful pot-au-feu, in the name impronçable by the tourist) our disappointment was illico caught by the majestic constitution of a sort of raclette with moult slices of cheeses and hams and charcuterie. we will still worry about our appetite and the possibility of adding cheese. all accompanied by a glass of silky red. bravo to real traders respectful of their transit customers, very happy to have borrowed the exit of the a4 motorway"

We stopped for lunch here, attracted by the fact that there were many people. the service was a little dishearsed with a little clumsy guy forgetting half of the things he had to do and the hostess shouting at him making him even more confused. food was not bad but we had a fairly slow digestion. on the other hand, the atmosphere of the market was nice and we spent €10 each for lunch.
