"My wife and I were driving down from Otranto to Santa Maria di Leuca and were hoping to have lunch at a wine bar there that had been well reviewed on TA. Unfortunately it turned out to be closed. We were both tired, hot and grumpy and nothing else that we saw in town appealed to us. When we were researching possible places for lunch the day before we noticed this cafe also got great reviews. Therefore, even though it was another 10 minute further drive we decided to go for it... boy we glad we did: delicious Caprese salad with tuna, a tasty panini with local meat and cheese and a great local beer from Capo d'Otranto. Then came the best part: a trio of gelatos featuring chocolate, almond and fig and a third flavour I can't remember the name of but was just as yummy as the first two. As that apparently wasn't enough we also got a delicious chocolate and cream pasticiotti and a couple of Caffe Leccese. Wow! Marco the owner was so warm and hospitable, even though he didn't speak much English and our Italian is very limited to say the least. This for us was a reflection of what foreign travel is all about it can be a lot of hard work and aggravation but just when things seem to be going sideways you can have an amazing experience like this. "Locale situato nella piazza principale di Alessano. Volendo è possibile scegliere le carni da cuocere nel banco macelleria. Si può mangiare sia all'aperto che al chiuso. Personale molto cordiale e accogliente: la signora Cinzia vi guiderà nella scelta di quanto più a voi potrebbe essere gradito. Carni e contorni di buona qualità, porzioni generose. Abbiamo preso un arrosto misto, un entrecôte, un arrosto di coscia di pollo con patate, un contorno di pomodori e un contorno di patate, una bottiglia d'acqua e ½ litro di rosato. Abbiamo pagato 60 euro. Consigliato."

"We went with two families. The place is amazing in its simplicity and cleanliness ! We had the antipasto which was really tasty mostly vegetarian and had ‘primo’ of pasta with orecchiette cima di rapa, pomodori secchi and pinoli and we also had gnocchi with pumpkin and scamorza. Again everything was delicious. Our kids took a simple gnocchi al sugo (10EUR). We had few deserts (lo spumeno, which is a sort of a delicious semi freddo and sporcamusi again a tasty millefoglie with cream and lemon). Great environment, nice and helpful staff, but a bit overpriced. In total was 188 although after a small error we’ve got the difference of 18EUR. All in all still great experience! I didn’t see the rooms, but can imagine it’s worth staying there as well!"

"suggestive location, with ancient buildings surrounding the square. excellent and well presented the sea-land appetizer, very good the gnocchi shrimp and figs, as well as the frying of soft and dry squid. surprising the spumon, well balanced the moose of "cupeta (croccante di mandorle.) generous portions. wine, a white of alessano rich in flavors and aromas. excellent cheesecake served to celebrate the birthday of a friend. only neo: the room service is a bit confusing, served the seconds left us without drinks perhaps because of a problem to the fridges to which however they ovviato arriving a large amount of ice. If you're from an Alexandrian, stop for dinner here and you won't be disappointed."

"hotel a conduzione familiare, struttura fantastica, con piscina a sfioro bellissima a 2 metri dalle stanze. personale gentilissimo, a modo e super disponibile. cucina tipica eccellente ed ottima, colazione abbondante. minibar incluso e camera climatizzata. struttura immersa nella natura essendo anche maneggio con possibilità di escursione a cavallo ed equitazione. pulizia impeccabile. a 5 minuti dalle Maldive del Salento, 10 minuti da Santa Maria di Leuca e volendo a 30 minuti da Gallipoli. per ultimo ma non per importanza, rapporto qualità-prezzo ECCELLENTE. esperienza di coppia assolutamente perfetta, voto 10!"
