4 of us went to the silvester last night. we all had extraordinary meal times and I must say that that that was no longer delicate. the staff was excellent and very friendly. in all a very pleasant evening and we will definitely return.

"BEWARE!!! ...The cocktails are very weak, and contain nowhere near the alcohol level that they should. We paid £24 for two cocktails. Our glasses were filled to the top with crushed ice then they produced a premixed 1.5 litre bottle of long island iced tea and simply poured one measure over the crushed ice. So it was not only diluted with the crushed ice but also contained just one measure of what should have been a mixture of spirits...it just tasted of water from the crushed ice. So bad that I have made a formal complaint to trading standards."

"The food was lovely. The menu isn't overly extensive but the food everyone ordered was lovely. I had sticky duck salad and calamari for starters which was cooked perfectly. The children ate for free with a paying adult (half term offer) which was great. They had a main, side and desert. The only complaint I have was a can of coke was £3.85 which is extortionate. It was a friends birthday and they brought out her dessert and sang to her which was a lovely touch. Service was great too. All in all a lovely meal and good service. I'd come again."

"hi yetti, when I was sitting here and eating the rest of yesterday evening, I wanted to say a great thank you again for their service. over 6 months since I contacted you first and at any time you were so professional and replied immediately. eating was amazing, I really loved the plantain bruschettas, suya and jollof reis especially. the portions! my goodness, I ordered food for 15 and we could probably have fed 50! we were able to ensure that all our guests had generous portions and much to us after home for everyone. After all, eating arrived on time and even when it arrived a bit later than projected, I was politely informed. the personalized birthday card that came with him was also a nice note. I would book you ten times longer!"

"It was our first time at Dok Mali and we were thoroughly impressed! The food is gorgeous, the only little problem we had were prawns not cooked enough to our liking, although when we looked again, it did state on the menu that they would be raw. Service was very good, and prices were reasonable too. We will definitely be visiting again."

"We enjoyed our meal at Pier Eight although my wife dudn’t enjoy her starter .However this was deducted from our bill ! The panna cotta was ice but it was too thin and the texture was not as firm as it should have been .However overall the meal was good and the service was even better . May one criticism would be that the tables around the sides of the room are too close together leaving a very small space to squeeze through to get to your seat .Which would be very hard for people with a larger build and the closeness of other tables inhibitis converstation"
