"Visited this restaurant around 7:30pm and hadn’t booked a table, the lady said they could squeeze us in before a later booking and so glad they did! Really lovely food, full of flavour! Super shocked at how cheap the overall bill was as well. We had two starters, two mains and two beers and it all came to just over 40euros. Amazing! The restaurant is super popular so would recommend booking. It’s set back away from the main streets so you know it’s going to be good if it’s in constant demand!"

"We were very excited to try this cute restaurant while staying in Lloret de Mar. We found it randomly on a Tuesday afternoon and were turned away as it was “impossible” to get a table without a reservation. We made a reservation and returned 2 days later for lunch. To say that it did not meet expectations is an understatement. We waited at least 30min before our drinks orders were taken, it was almost 1,5 hours by the time the entrees arrived. With 2 small children all the waiting was just unbearable! The food was not bad, the grilled prawns were really fresh and the lobster and monk- fish stew was tasty, while the risotto was just okay. The kids menu was not great and we received the wrong mains dishes, but after all the waiting the kids just ate it. The experience can be summed up as a lot of waiting and frustration; all the while no one came to talk to us or apologize for getting the wrong meals and long time taken for drinks to arrive after being ordered. Although they did not charge for 2 beverages, I guess as compensation. I have no doubt that this could be was a great restaurant, I think they have become very complacent when it comes to service. For Michelin we expected a lot better."

"We saw positive reviews on Google, so we thought we’d come here as opposed to some of the less food-focused spots immediately on the beach. We were incredibly disappointed. While the parklet decor seemed inviting, construction was actively happening next door making it incredibly loud, an unattractive view, and generally unpleasant. We ordered the menu, which indicated it came with water or wine, like normal. Our waiter said the final course was a dessert or coffee, again as normal in Spain. When our bill came: 1) we were told only the sin gas water was included, and we were charged for con gas. Con gas is not only standard, but we were offered either and not told there would be an upcharge. The menu didn’t specify sin gas was the only type of water included. 2) we ordered coffee instead of the dessert, again standard and what we were told was part of the menu options. Instead, we were charged for the coffee separately. We probably should have turned around when we saw only one other table of patrons at the restaurant, but were hopeful based on the reviews. A rookie mistake I wouldn’t normally make, but I got swayed by other reviews indicating better quality food that the other beach fare. Don’t make the same mistake we did — go to one of the other restaurants."

"Tried this spot while visiting Cal Fenals. Not the best view (I was looking at parked cars in the lot) but they do fish well. I couldn't order the fidéua or paella because they require 2 persons minimum. I started with the tuna carpaccio. Portion was large and it was really flavourful. Bacalao was my main, cooked really well, served with alioli on top, grilled veg on the side including padrón peppers. I had melon for dessert, but there were several sweet options including crema catalana. For a 25€ menú, I would have appreciated more bread and coffee to be included, but the fish was fresh and delicious. And although I didn't need it, I was impressed to see a 20€ vegan menu del día as well. Spain is pork heavy, so fir anyone who needs a break, check out Xaloc."
