Emeraud - Speisekarte

We haven't been in too often but we've eaten in the main restaurant and also out on the terrace both for lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed.

Returned to the Emeraud after a few years absence. We were happy with the experience, the terrace has been updated, very nice on a sunny day. The food was good and priced reasonably for a Sunday.

We were a group of 6 who enjoyed an excellent meal at the Emerald, which offers plenty of choice in both food and drinks, so no one was disappointed. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. Speisekarte ansehen

Part of a hotel, this restaurant and bar never seems to close. It's extremely friendly and welcoming despite it's narrow pavement entrance and adjacent traffic. The pression beer choices are the best in town and the restaurant meals excellent. The service is exceptional and friendly.

We visited for a family meal. The menu was good with plenty of choice, my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the chicken wings from the children's menu.The service was quick and our waitress very cheerful and attentive.Prices were good and food was definitely worth the money.We will go again when back in Confolens.

We popped in as we saw the terrace and wanted to try somewhere new. What a pleasant surprise, to get through to the terrace you walk through a lovely and newly renovated restaurant. Good start. We ordered one of the special house pizzas, a cheese burger and a chicken in white wine sauce with green beans. All the meals were superb, very tasty and beautifully presented. Nice terrace seating overlooking the river, pleasant staff, local menu looked promising but failed to deliver on all counts. Massive starter portion - mainly of tired lettuce and supermarket smoked salmon and large pieces of tasteless smoked hake. Main of brochette + rice and ratatouille was tasteless in the extreme. 4xcheese dessert was uninspired. Overall such a disappointment. We used to come to Logis for excellent local food - come here if you want pizza/chips/burger - they looked great! Wish we'd chosen those.

Have eaten here several times, so they review is based on many visits. The Plat du Jour has always been good - particularly a Daube de Boeuf - and good value. Their pizza's are also good, I really enough one with snails & garlic butter - but prices are on the firm side (say 14 euro's),Have always avoided the pre-prepared buffet starters & salads, but they look like budget bought in type, and perhaps 'sit around' on display for too long.The inside dining room lacks atmosphere but their riverside terrace is pleasant if the weather allows.

If it's not sweltering hot then stay here. If it is get in early open the windows and attempt to sleep with them and the shutters open. It's a trade off for quiet and dark in the morning (not ideal with tiny kids I'll admit) my slightly over dramatic review last night was probably due to a lack of sleep, being too hot and fractious kids. The shower room is tiny. It would be tough to sleep 4 people in this room if two weren't tiny but it is a reasonable price, very clean and the bar downstairs is great and in baby monitor distance! If you have no kids you'll probably be fine especially if you want to dine with the stunning view of the bridge. Hope that's a more balanced review than yesterday! Speisekarte ansehen
