"My partner and I dined at this restaurant last night, and I personally believe it was the best Indian food I have had in years. We were warmly greeted and promptly seated at a table. We had purchased an Itison voucher (two courses for two people, with a choice of house red or white wine) which only cost us £17 total. The starters were beautifully presented and tasted delicious, setting us up nicely for our main courses. I chose the South Indian garlic chilli dish, while my husband opted for the Nepalese bhuna. Both dishes were flavorful and authentic. Since we had used an Itison voucher, we paid for the poppadoms and chutney before heading home to relax for the evening. Overall, I must say that for a restaurant that had just opened a few weeks ago, the service was friendly and the food was exceptional. Keep up the good work, Essence - we will definitely be back."

I dined at this restaurant with my friends last week. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. This is hands-down the best Indian restaurant in town! The King Prawn Tiger Curry was particularly outstanding. Sublime.

My partner and I had dinner at this restaurant tonight. We tried onion bhaji, veg bhaji, and mushroom pakora (which was a free starter and very tasty). "We were well welcomed by the staff, and then we discovered the dining area which was stunning!The staff gave us great food recommendations: Bareh Kebab and Makhsus Joojeh (lamb chops, lamb and chicken skewer with safran rice and grilled tomato). "let me start with the positive ones. grub makes some creative paninis/sandwiches and plays some great music. at my first visit I had the hammer of thor in a baguette, which was a beautiful large part and super tasted. the service was very fast and also, although I arrived on a busy Monday during the lunchtime. the negative is that the inner is not the most welcoming. it is a bit naked and economical look. could be 5 stars, but just need this additional touch to make the inner more attractive."

"Have wanted to try this takeaway for a couple of years due to good reviews and a love of spicy food. So finally ordered online last night. Went for the set meal for two consisting of Poppadoms and chutney, two pakoras, salad, two mains with...rice and nan. Had the Himalayan Lamb and Hot Khathmandu Chicken for mains and it was delicious. Everything was cooked really well. Normally with a takeaway you have to re-heat the mains if you eat the starter separately but not in this case, it was all piping hot. Only very slight criticism was too much rice and a plain nan instead of peshwari or keema, but overall an excellent meal. Well worth a try."

"As someone who has been a cook for many years and a lover of Indian cuisine, I recently visited this restaurant for the first time on my birthday. I must say that I was extremely impressed and even a bit frustrated that I only have one stomach, as the food was truly magical and delicious. The dishes prepared by the chefs were a delight to the taste buds and I was completely enamored with the flavors. Additionally, the restaurant itself was beautifully decorated, clean, and pleasant. The staff were also professional and attentive. I will definitely be returning to this wonderful Indian restaurant again. Thank you."

"We made a reservation online for 6:30 pm on Saturday, April 27th and arrived promptly. The service was satisfactory and the food was alright, although there was a delay in serving the main course. When we requested a dessert menu, along with another prosecco and glass of wine, they promptly brought us the drinks but did not provide the menu until we asked a different staff member. After paying the bill and sitting and chatting, at 8:05 pm the waitress abruptly told us that she needed the table back immediately, even though my wife had not finished her drink. We were surprised by this, as no one had informed us of a time limit on the table when we arrived or made the reservation online. Despite other customers still present who had arrived before us, we decided to leave. Unfortunately, there was no staff member available to address our concerns about the time limit. We submitted a complaint through 'Opentable' later on, but have not received a response over a week later. We are disappointed with the treatment we received and will not be returning to Da Vinci, nor will we recommend it to others until we receive an explanation for the poor service."
