The food and service at this restaurant are always exceptional. There is a wide variety of items on the menu, and the prices are very reasonable for the generous portions. The Japanese takeaway is in the same place as Flaming Wok. From the website, it would appear that Taste Udon has a certificate of excellence from Tripadvisor with three stellar reviews! However, apart from the udon noodles, the rest of the meal was probably the worst Japenese food I’ve ever had. The chicken katsu was bland and potentially frozen and the pork tonkonsu was lemony (meaning it tasted off ie unsafe to eat! When I asked my relative would she return, she said never in a million years! I agree, I would say never in a billion years Taste Udon, more like distaste udon

Tried flaming wok for the first time last night and I can honestly say that this is the best Chinese I’ve ever had. I’ve been to 5 star restaurants where the food wasn’t as delicious as this. Salt and pepper chips were amazing, tofu is the best I’ve ever tried. The service was incredibly fast for a Friday night and the lady who I collected from was lovely. Definitely my new go-to for a takeaway! Vegetarian options: So many vegetarian options and a whole section just for tofu dishes! Found this place after a couple of other dissapointing take-aways, and soon became obsessed. The picky kids love the food, as does the rest of the family. Reasonably priced, good quality food, quick collection times, and the staff are friendly too. We live too far out for delivery and so collect everytime, and it is always worth the drive! Flaming wok is the only chinese takeaway we have used in the past 3 years, because its the best locally. Ooooh.... get the salt and pepper chips! They are incredible!! Thanks!
