Disappointed and inconvenienced because they refused to accept a Scottish banknote in payment.

This is by far the best ice cream I've ever had, and I consider myself something of an ice cream aficionado. From now on, I will always plan a trip to Swanage whenever I take my dog for a walk at Studland!

Staff were friendly and helpful, gelato was rhubarb crumble and it was delicious lots of flavours to pick from but did not have the one we actually wanted. Price was a little steep but to be expected in a seafront location. Speisekarte ansehen

Five of us stopped for coffee's yesterday, which were excellent as was the service to the extent that my wife unfortunately left her purse with money cards behind. A surprise knock at the door this evening resulted with it's safe return (30 odd miles from Swanage).

Definitely worth the wait! I took my young Italian friends on a day trip that included a visit to Fortes, which serves the best ice cream on the South Coast. Established in 1926 by an Italian family, it is still family-run today. If I ever worked in the area, I would stop by for a cone any time of year. They did not disappoint! The ice cream is great value, with generous portions and reasonably priced for a handmade product from an independent business. I tried to order my favorite flavor, caramelized fig, but it was unavailable. I didn’t want to hold up the line, so I settled for honeycomb instead. Speisekarte ansehen
