Upon our arrival, there was no reservation made for us; fortunately, there were many tables available. The decor was lacking, the food was poorly prepared, and the service was slow. I won't be returning.

The service was not impressive. It took 30 minutes for a glass of tap water to arrive at our table after I requested a jug, so I ended up having to go to the bar to ask for it myself. The food was also disappointing. I won't be returning.

"For our mains, we ordered the halibut crab and a 6 oz filet steak. Both were juicy and packed with flavor – we couldn't have made a better choice! For dessert, I highly recommend the Treakel-Tart. It looked amazing and was rich and creamy, perfectly complemented by the tinted cream. The black currant soufflé had a delightful kick but paired beautifully with the vanilla anglaise. Every dish was not only well presented but also incredibly tasty. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive, especially from the waitstaff. The dining room was clean and comfortable, with ample space between tables. Overall, there was nothing to complain about – from the quality of the food to the service in the dining room. I can’t wait to return when I visit Cornwall again!"

"Honestly the best food I’d ever tasted. If I was on death row this would be in top contention for my last meal. the tuna melt??? DELECTABLE and the milkshakes were so so so incredible. To top it off whoever was on the music played some absolute nostalgia hitting bangers. The colour scheme of the inside was We’d been trekking the coastal path for 4 days and this was our final stop- can’t actually describe in words how lovely it was for this to be our final pit stop. also want to mention that the window cleaner across the road was utter entertainment (mans was obviously getting paid per hour I didn’t know it was possible to make a 5 minute job into a 2 hour long one but he made it possible ‍"

We were seated at a lovely table by the window, offering a nice view of Charlestown, and our order was taken promptly. It could easily be shared among three or four people. For the main course, the food was delicious with generous portions. We decided to share a dessert since we were quite full, but it was outstanding and truly unbeatable. The atmosphere, the service, and the entire venue were exceptional. I would highly recommend this restaurant!"
