Friars Wynd - Speisekarte

The food is excellent, the venue is lovely, and the staff is friendly. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, as Stirling is not known for its good restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

As vegetarians, my partner and I had a hard time finding unique dining options in Stirling. However, Friars Wynd had a variety of vegetarian dishes to choose from and we were very impressed with both the food and service. I highly recommend it.

My partner and I stubbles on this little place by accident. Been here a few times now and never been disappointed. Food and service outstanding. Limited menu due to the freshness of food but something for everyone’s palate. My new favourite place to eat. Speisekarte ansehen

First time visit for lunch. Really good choice, We had three starters which we shared. It was ample for lunch. We kept room for a lemon posset each which was delicious. Good presentation, tasty food at a reasonable price. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend.

I stopped in for some lunch between events at **** Scotland crime fiction festival. I was seated immediately, my order taken really quickly despite the restaurant being very busy, and was served really good food. Huge, huge thanks to Kirsty and Emily. They did a stellar job!

Too long to wait for starter 35mins beyond a joke was prawns come on how long do they take!!! Main meal was beef with with bacon and cheese …. Vile ,, no taste, tough .. insult charging us for such garbage!! Paid £76 for 2 people , best part was bottle of Merlot and pint husband had. Don’t waste your money go else where!!! The restaurant is on the smaller side, which is likely why the menu is limited. I opted for the chicken breast on potato gratin, which was decent, although the bacon was chewy and fatty. It could have used more vegetables. The lemon posset and sticky toffee pudding for dessert were also satisfactory. The waitress was friendly and the decor was okay. However, the prices were a bit high considering the experience. Overall, it was a pleasant enough meal, but nothing particularly stood out as exceptional.

Just been into this restaurant. Firstly the waitress was helpful and pleasant. I was told the breakfast Chef had left but they would still do me a veggie breakfast. Watery eggs , hard tomatoe, odd dried up mushrooms in some sort of sauce felt like it had been left over from something else, sausages from a packet and not very tasty haggis, last but not least a slice of the cheapest white bread you can buy . WHY??? It’s so easy to cook a good hearty , fresh breakfast, no wonder it was quiet. Just such a waste of everyone’s time to serve such rubbish.

Give it a miss if you can....Eggs Benedict ordered, confirmed it was not smoked bacon when ordering, it was. The hollandaise sauce was cold, one egg was hard and the other not cooked. They did offer to recook but we waited long enough for it first time just asked for toast. Other full English ordered was OK not hot, hot. When paying the bill they charged full price for egg Benedict although I sent it back, only agreeded to reduce cost when I challenged this....dont think it will be on list to go back.
