Halfway House - Speisekarte

Good quality, good-value food in very nice surroundings. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the service was very good.

We have been to the Half way House many times. The quality and variety of the food is alway excellent. We did steak on the stone which we always enjoy. Very friendly server -do not remember his name but he was very helpful. Would recommend this place any time.

Staff were lovely and would give 5 stars for them, however the food wasn’t good. I had a burger with bacon which appeared to all be deep fried, if it wasn’t it tasted greasy. Another reviewer commented on their clothes smelling after visiting and I have to agree. Ours did too. We wouldn’t visit again. Speisekarte ansehen

We have eaten here many times and choose to come back for a special occasion. Steak pie- poor. Veg soggy. Pastry soggy and grey. Had to send back and re order main. Puddings mediocre. Felt doubled up on portions due to our complaint. Staff young and doing there best a shame no managerial oversight to support them.

There was no atmosphere and the food was disappointing. My husband's fish wasn't fresh and the chips tasted reheated. My pie had rock hard pastry and was not enjoyable. Although my husband enjoyed his dessert, it was clear it was not made by the chef. We were overcharged without an apology when we noticed the mistake. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

Well it now makes sense why they offer a self cook option on the steaks. Their own chiefs can’t understand what a medium rare steak is. Both images are ‘supposed’ to be medium rare. Staff are pleasant however but doesn’t make up for a well and truely below average meal. Even with 20% off still brought a 1 course meal to £52. Can get better food in a weatherspoons. Fish was disgusting frozen and soggy, has massively gone downhill. Came a few weeks ago had a stroganoff which had to send back as tasted bitter and full of powder, however I gave it another chance today and fully regret will not be coming back . Place is certainly not as clean as it used to be eating next to food splashed walls, what a shame used to be so lovely will not be wasting my money again

Today, 25 friends and family gathered to celebrate my birthday at a restaurant. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with the food. The fish had a bad smell and had to be sent back, but the replacement was just as bad. The beef was tough and difficult to chew, and the vegetables were served 10 minutes after the main course. Overall, our experience was disappointing and we will not be returning to the Halfway House.

We stopped by for a quick meal on our way home and regretted it. The meal was mediocre at best, especially the fillet beef stroganoff which was nearly red in color and lacking in mushrooms. There were only four small pieces of beef, one of which was too tough to chew. My husband had the scampi, which he thought was okay, and my granddaughter enjoyed the burger with tasty sweet potato chips. Overall, we were disappointed with the experience. The restaurant could use some updating as it felt dated and had a stale smell. Speisekarte ansehen
