love this place was a few times, but now I have moved a mile from him I will visit more regularly. very clean and smart and excellent service. excellent consisted of food and excellent caffe. dogs welcome.

A group of ten of us visited in the late morning and were warmly welcomed. We were given time to browse the well-stocked shop, which is perfect for tourists on the go, before deciding on our orders, including the soup of the day.

Called in here to get some essentials for our holiday cottage and dinner. What a fab idea for the community to chip in and volunteer. Very friendly staff although we called in there again this morning around 9.30, there were delivery boxes outside the door, no lights on, no coffee machine on and no one in sight. Very odd!!!!

This restaurant is housed in a charming, well-lit building and offers a wide variety of meat, vegetarian, and vegan options. One of us enjoyed a meat dish while the other tried the vegetarian cottage pie, and both were absolutely delicious. The apple cake with fruit compote was a fantastic dessert choice. The ambiance was welcoming and laid-back. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this restaurant to others.

The Hallbankgate hub is fantastic! It has a shop, cafe, library, and post office all in one place. There is parking available and I would definitely recommend paying a visit. The food is freshly made and we specifically came to try the vegan options such as cakes and scones. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and there was a great sense of community. I wish more villages would be like Hallbankgate. There are also plenty of well-marked walks and the RSPB nature reserve nearby, making it a perfect family day out.

We were all gathering for a family event and need to find a good place in the village to meet and coordinate. Lunch at the Hallbankgate Hub was the perfect spot. This is a little village shop and cafe, cooperatively owned and operated by the Hallbankgate community. We had generous helpings of home made soup, goat's cheese sandwiches and quiche. Those of us from elsewhere took advantage of buying postcards, home made jams and local produce. Torry, the manager and her mum and another colleague made this feel just like home.
