"I've been to Hamiltons a few times now and they always serve good hearty grub and great drinks. My favourite is their brunch/lunch menu which is awesome. I am very partial to their sliced avocado, poached egg and sourdough served with chorizo jam it is meant to be small' but actually pretty filling and very very good! My other favourite is the Moules frites which is also fab, well flavoured and great portion size. A great place for a beer or for food. I've been in Hamilton's many times and its always good. The have Innis and Gunn lager on tap and also the bottled beers. When I have had food there its been great and very tasty!

Hamilton’s has a great brunch menu, ranging from the old favourite full Scottish breakfast to more adventurous options such as avocado and poached egg on toast with chorizo jam. It was a great meal and I will definitely be back soon to sample their lunch and dinner.

large menu with main dishes and small bites so perfect for drinks. there is a separate sitting area when they have a meal, although it was beautiful. the service was quick and friendly and accredited on special requests. eating was fantastic- recommend the veggie burger!

Average Pub Grub. Been here a couple of times for lunch and, while the food's perfectly acceptable, I think it's a wee bit overpriced for what you get. There are better value places close at hand. Take the Baillie up the road, for example. Cheaper, better food and a nicer atmosphere.

Having been here a few times for drinks, I thought I'd venture here for a meal. Good food, but very overpriced for what it is. Also where the bar tenders are absolutely excellent, I found the table service very poor. The waitress who served us seemed uninterested in her job, she barely listened to our order and as a consequence some of our food was wrong/didn't even appear. When we tried to find out what had happened, the woman we asked seemed similarly disinterested.

we are regular customers in this restaurant through the years, especially for brunch. we found the place changed this time, some of the quirky style had been changed, for example the chairs that they did not fit before. the cocktails written on a board to tempt them are no longer displayed there. there were also some beverage supply problems, we were told. the food was delicious enough, but the atmosphere was missing. Hopefully, this is all due to the difficult times with Covid restrictions and we will find it even better at the next visit.
