"We came back late from the city and were looking for somewhere to stop on the way back to the hotel. Saw a modest sign for a Thai restaurant that would be easy to walk past. It looked good through the window with a menu of classics and interesting items at great prices (for anywhere, let alone R-U-T). Seemed to be a high proportion of of locals (all except us I felt). Very attentive staff, food served quickly that tasted great. Loved it. Hope we come back to R-U-T just so we can go there."

Fast and very friendly service but I don't understand why the massaman curry was sweet? It was almost sickly sweet and didn't finish the portion.

Cracking wee place, very friendly team and nice atmosphere. Recommend Pad Thai and Massaman Curry. 100% recommend and we got the impression they would bend over backwards to accommodate food wise.

The service was amazing, can’t fault it. Unfortunately the pad Thai and coconut rice were far too sweet and was quite difficult to finish as was quite sickly. The summer rolls also were pretty dry.

We have been visiting this restaurant for many years, and especially for our Valentine's meal. It is a charming little place with friendly staff and a cosy and romantic ambience. The food is delightful and we are never disappointed. Thank you to the team for another lovely evening.

I love this restaurant. Amazing authentic Thai food, lovely people and always busy with a great atmosphere. Often see Thai customers in the restaurant. Menu is wide ranging with fabulous seafood, soft shell crab and morning glory. I’ve taken many friends there who have become regulars.

I must confess I only went here because Good Earth Express was closed, but what a lucky accident! In an age of drab, low quality Thai food, I was astonished by how fresh all the ingredients were, and how beautifully prepared. This will now be our regular place I can't recommend it enough.

I ordered the coconut milk soup and a satay dish. What was supposed to be a simple basic lunch turned out to be the highlight of my day. The soup was loaded with chicken, lime leaves, chili, galangal root… it was just delicious and I savored the flavours. The satay was perfect and I ate all the leftover sauce with the rice. I plan to return tonight with my family. Honestly the best Thai food I’ve experienced outside of Thailand, and easily my favorite find in Richmond.
