Food was very expensive and not good. Bacon cheeseburger tasted plain.. had better at local pubs. Prices are ridiculously high for quality. Partner had a chicken burger and only ate the chips! For x2 meals and only one drink each was £40!!! Staff were okay but slow. Restaurant was hot with no AC. We went to Huck's tonight and earlier on in our break. The food was pretty good and was fast to arrive. But, everything else was really slow. It took 30 minutes for us to get our drinks, and when we went earlier on in the week, it took 20 minutes plus to get our bill. We got the impression that our server was the only one really doing anything, and he was the one who kept apologising. The food was just okay, but the service was exceptionally poor. The fire alarm went off, and we ended up waiting outside in the rain for 20 to 30 minutes without any compensation for the inconvenience. Our food took an extended time to arrive due to the backlog caused by the fire alarm—conveniently, an excuse for them. After our daughter finished her kids meal, we requested the ice cream that was included in the meal deal, and it took them 30 minutes to serve us a tiny scoop. To make matters worse, because the experience had dragged on so long, they asked us to move to another table to accommodate new guests. We were appalled and declined to move, leaving with our 3-year-old and her ice crea...

The starter was fine, with no complaints there. However, the cost of our main meals was outrageous considering the portion sizes and overall quality. It felt incredibly overpriced for what we received. We are willing to spend money on a meal if it’s worth it, but this was definitely not the case. No one checked in with us to see how we were enjoying our meals, and our plates were left on the table for at least 15 minutes after we finished eating. My partner even had to move them to another table to make more space for us. The waitress did print our bill without us asking, which was convenient and meant we didn’t have to wait. Massively disappointed with our visit to hucks 4th September 8ishpm, our first night arriving 2 kids2 adults. Lady standing at the desk was lovely and seat us and that is when it went downhill server couldn't be found for 90% of the time we dined, drinks came after the starters, we asked to mains away our food quite quick as kids started getting tired. Our server appeard and said he was confused as someone told him we wanted our mains.. not sure what the confusion is. Then again no waiter in sight when we wanted the kids deserts.
