Nice little restaurant in the heart of the old town. Beautiful terrace garden that matched the beautiful food. Owners are charming and helpful. Hugh quality vegetarian food from a small menu that was exceptional value.

We were pretty late for lunch, which made our menu options limited. But the food was nonetheless very good. The service was good as well. Overall a very welcome veggie restaurant in the centre of the Périgord, where meat seems to be the main component of each meal and finding a veggie lunch spot isn't too easy.Would most definitely return.

Excellent vegetarian restaurant in a region where saying the V word usually means eggs and cheese. Our host (the owner) was gracious and the food reflected a thoughtful approach to vegetarian French cuisine.The menu is limited, but that's good thing -- Izba isn't trying to overreach. It's a small space for now, but I imagine it will catch on with the locals and tourists.

We set up without a booking, but the patron could no longer have a welcoming lunch consisted of a set menu with 3 appetizers, nets and deserts that I had to start the bumblebees, which was fantastic. The side salad had Heritage tomatoes. My main was courgette filled with lenses accompanied by a mushroom risotto and was exceptional. No place for dessert, but the strawberry juice was another level.

IZBA is situated along a row of fast food restos and you could easily walk past the door without realising how special it is. We've visited IZBA twice for lunch. We ordered from a board with 2 or 3 each of entrees, main courses and desserts. The food comprises imaginative, tasty, vegetarian dishes. It's easily among the best vegetarian cuisine we've found in the region...well anywhere really.Service is a bit bohemian but it is appropriate to the homely atmosphere and the proprietor is super sympa.

A very positive experience. Booked via Facebook, then happened to find ourselves in Perigueux a day early, so popped in and changed our reservation. Very friendly owners, who tolerated our terrible French, and spoke English to aid understanding. We paid €17 for three courses (could have chosen two courses for €14,50, but we were very hungry!) They have a choice of three starters, mains and desserts, one of which is vegan.The food was tasty, inventive, well flavoured and good sized portions. Was pretty busy, probably best to book.Perigueux is lucky to have Izba!

We were fortunate to be visiting Perigueux on Tuesday as the restaurant had been closed for 2 weeks following the birth of the owners baby, and this was the first day of opening again. The husband and wife team are delightful, he at front of...house and she the genius in the kitchen. Only open at lunchtime, there is a set menu of 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 deserts. There is no need for more my wife and I ordered one of each dish which we shared. Each were a treat for the taste buds! If you are vegetarian eating out can be difficult, particularly in this area of France which is renowned for its meat cuisine. Izba is therefore a great discovery for anyone on a meat free diet. This small restaurant is both vegetarian and organic. The first and most important thing to say that booking is absolutely essential. On the day we went a stream of people came, one after another, hoping for a table, at lunchtime on Saturday, but it was fully booked, as it often is.
