James' Patisserie Sandwiches

James and his team made an amazing wedding cake for us. It tasted delicious and meant we could have 3 of our favourite flavours.

Excellent freshly prepared baguettes and sandwiches cakes that were reasonably priced. Definitely recommend this for a lunchtime snack

Whenever in the area call in for a cup of tea and a treat and some pastries or sausage rolls to take home. Lovely friendly service, delicious food and reasonably priced. Our favorite in Honiton.

James is amazing at what he does! Everything I've had here has been amazing from cakes to paninnis! My particular favourite is his sausage rolls!! I need his recipe. Wouldn't go anywhere else in honiton for a quick snack!

Seriously good! Always. Today's Treacle Tart and Apple Crumble cross over is God-tier! James' is a great place for lunch (toasted Panini or a sausage roll with sesame seed topping for example), or simply indulging in any one of his delicious bakes. A great rotation of cakes that are sold by the slice too in dangerously large wedges!

James baked a spectacular cake for our grandmother’s 100th birthday. It was absolutely beautiful and incredibly tasty -everyone was impressed and asked for his details. Communication was super easy with him and he did exactly what we asked for, and the result was even better than we had expected. Absolutely recommended. Thank you very much, James!

James has made several birthday cakes for us and recently has made our wedding cake which was an absolute delight! All of our guests absolutely loved it, it tasted amazing and looked stunning with edible flowers on it too. James has also made a few birthday cakes for us which have also been spot on, including a tractor being driven by a dinosaur cake for our son which was very impressive! My personal favourite from James was a pavalova he made which was just to die for, I have been dreaming about it ever since! Very very talented man, highly highly recommend

I had to leave a two star review as both times I have been in James Patisserie and had to give up waiting again. Today I was standing in the front of the queue and I wasn't acknowledged whist I waiting patiently to be served. I felt it got to almost 10mins and I gave up, the lady making other people's sandwich could see I was waiting but just ignored me. The other server went on lunch so I gave up. When I got back home I spoke to my husband and he said he had the same experience himself. So feedback is please acknowledge those in the queue and or let them know when they will be served.

Monday 18th September and we visited this small cafe for lunch. It is located in New Street a short distance off High Street in Honiton. In fairness it was the later end of lunchtime, so it was no surprise when the friendly lady behind the counter explained that not everything on the menu was available. Despite that she managed to rustle up a cheese and ham toastie and an egg mayonnaise baguette. Both were well filled and tasty. We also had two flavoursome well made flat white coffees. There were some mouthwatering cakes, which looked homemade, on display We had an enjoyable lunch with friendly service in a small cafe with a rustic feel.
