Great friendly pub with excellent drinks selection and done very nicely inside. Barman went out of his way to get us a specific drink. Would definitely recommend

Ate on a Sunday evening, quiet after the Sunday rush, but service very good (even if the young staff were rather naive) and we were so pleased with our roasts, as we had eaten at a different branch the previous week, and found the food...inedible. lots of tasty tender meat (one of us had pork, the other turkey) plenty of lovely veggies, and more gravy arrived quickly after requesting it.

I didn't stay in the hotel but I did eat in the restaurant. Service was initially very good but deteriorated over the course of the evening it was a struggle to get the bill and finally pay. The food was average and inconsistent. Some...starters were very small and other very large. The steaks for the main courses were not cooked as asked for (rare, medium etc). Overall it was OK but nothing special and probably wouldn't go back.

We visited this restaurant a few years ago and found it to be a lovely independent pub with delicious food. However, our recent experience was disappointing as the pub is now owned by Fullers. Out of the six meals we ordered, there were a few that were simply inedible. The burger was dry and overcooked, and the sides were served cold. Additionally, we were informed that we needed to place our order quickly as the kitchen was closing early on a Friday night at 4 o'clock.

we were beaten early and on speculations and were politely found a table. the menu was interesting, and both my tofu in miso and the secret sauceburger my mannes were absolutely delicious. we had cream robe and a salted caramel tart disc for...pudding, and again both dishes were delicious! the bill was also so reasonable that we paid less for it than we had last night in another pub around the corner where we had just a sandwich and two round drinks. I would recommend this place to everyone!

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. However, I had to wait for quite some time to be seated, even though the restaurant was not busy. I had to get my own drinks from the bar as the staff seemed overwhelmed. The overall dining experience was good, but was marred by the lack of attentive service. The restaurant is located in a lovely village and the building is charming. I would suggest that the staff receive better training in order to improve the overall experience for customers.

We dined here Saturday afternoon. Service very good and prompt. Husband's starter of chicken wings was very generous pieces but the coating on the wings was not what he expected, it tasted quite vinegary and would have preferred the blue cheese sauce in...a separate pot and not drizzled over the wings, the chicken was succulent. My main of burger was good but I wasn't too keen on the chips as most were burnt. Other main of chicken kiev was good. We shared the dessert of bakewell tart and it was delicious ...

Booked a table for lunch at via their website. They sent reminder emails confirming my booking for lunch. Arrived at the restaurant with family, some of whom had travelled for over an hour to meet us for lunch here. Checked in at the...door, then told they did not serve food between and Why take lunch bookings for a time you don't serve food? Website booking system is completely misleading. Other pubs have it clearly stated when food is served, and drinks only' booking times. Luckily was able to take our custom elsewhere.

Fantastic venue. The hotel has been recently refurbished and has a new management team. We have just visited in their first few weeks of reopening. We loved every part of our stay. The room was beautiful, attentive staff and lovely food. We had a different...choice each day for breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed each option. I had fish for dinner and my friend had lamb. Easily up there for taste and quality with some of the fanciest restaurants we have been to. I thoroughly recommend a visit for food or an overnight stay and have booked another two nights in July.
