"This is a New York Jew's point of view. This was the first restaurant my wife and I (along with visiting British/Israeli cousin and French/Israeli friend) ate at on visit to Paris this past November (and we ONLY eat Kosher). Physically, the place is a tiny hole (relatively speaking). That said, the food absolutely amazed us. First we were served a carrot soup, which was tantalizing. Then foie gras (doesn't every Parisian meat restaurant serve foie gras?) was excellent (as I expected it would be). I ordered grilled veal ribs which were quite good. Then I finished (it was too much for her) my wife's grilled veal rib chop, and I was just astounded. I happen to be a meat EXPERT (I mean that I can pick low from mid to high USDA Prime Beef, etc..), formerly have been professionally both a butcher (had my own meat market) and expert Shochet. The veal chop was AMAZINGLY tender, JUICY, and flavorful. Now a veal rib chop (being very lean) should come out very dry and slightly toughened when put to the grill (veal rib chops are best dipped in an egg mix, breaded, and fried for best effect), Their's was not. HOW DO THEY DO IT? Perhaps it's larded (veal fat sewn/injected into the meat). I don't know, but I'll be back. We are going again to Paris in February. This next visit, I am tempted to try the entrecote (beef rib eye steak). Might it actually compare (when they make it) to a USDA Prime steak (I know the raw French [or any European] beef does not compare)???? We will have to see. Stay tuned..."

We came to L'aile Ou la Cuisse just because we were hungry, and this was the closest kosher restaurant to where we were in Paris. Having had the veal steak (Bretange, we would have returned again had we had the time. Wonderful service - welcoming and efficient. Can't wait for you to open in Israel.

we were looking for a kosher restaurant near hotel, eating amazing, we ended up in the nights that we were in paris, canceled all the other reservations I had. best foie gras ravioli, they can not believe the cream is parve carpaccio. melt in their mouth and all other dishes were oustanding, French french french! crispy! veal. pity, I don't remember the names of what I ordered, all in French, so I had to translate google because they don't speak English or have an English menu. genuine French food
