"This is a lovely place in a clearing in a forest. The grounds are kept to a beautiful standard. The main building is charming and oldy worldy. Our room in the Park View block was basic but clean and adequate just lacking a small fridge. The inclusive English cooked breakfast was of a high standard, and a choice of other items were available. The only things missing which I would have liked were fresh fruit and yoghurt. The staff were extremely nice and nothing was too much trouble. The lodges and owners lodges around the fishing lake were modern and well placed for picturesque views. We may try to rent one of those when we next go, yes, we would go back. The only down point was each day was a minimum of half hour drive away to the coast or 15 mins to other inland places to visit. Overall, we had a very pleasing short break. Kids play area, sunloungers and a fire pit with seating round available to all. A well stocked bar available too."

Great week away at Lakeview. Quiet, tranquil location a few miles north of Honiton. Perfect base for exploring Devon. We have been twice now and will very likely use it again in the future. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

The lodge was fantastic. I spent my days fishing in the top lake and had a few nibbles, but didn't catch anything until the last day when I caught a 20lb carp. The rooms, service, and location all scored a perfect 5 out of 5.

Wonderful lodge in beautiful surroundings, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Hot tub was excellent, staff were very helpful and polite. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff, especially Sarah, were very helpful. The location was nice and the food was good. It was a great value for the price. There were also some nice walking paths nearby. Sarah, who served as receptionist, waitress, and entertainment, really stood out and made our stay enjoyable. The rest of the staff were also attentive and helpful. I would rate the rooms a 4, service a 5, and location a 4. The highlights of the hotel were the great view, kid-friendly atmosphere, and the excellent value.

We had not planned on staying in the south for a third night, but we ended up booking a last-minute room at this lovely place. We had some issues with our original holiday booking that fell through. We wish we had booked here sooner. The room was super lovely and very clean, and the service was impeccable (Sarah deserves a raise!). Once you check in, you won't want to leave. There are so many things to see and explore, from deer calls to bubbling brooks, lakes, countryside, and forests. The fish and chips we had at the restaurant that night were better than anything you could get on the seafront. There were many other interesting options on the menu, but we hadn't had a chance to try them ye...
