Lunch for three of us, could not be more helpful, happily made dishes not on the menu. All the food was excellent and well presented. Recommended.

Excellent restaurant préservé du toute du centre. Carte efficace avec des produits de qualité bien cuisinés. Personnel agréable, à l'écoute des Clients. À recommander les yeux fermés .

Sorry don't remember what we had but I found the receipt in my car yesterday and remember we had a great meal on a throughly unpleasant day. Thought must add a 5 star review as the food was great and price was extremely reasonable with good service.

Occasionally we have lunch in this restaurant, often on a Friday. It is clearly also a popular venue for others as it attracts many business people and families. It is always busy but not excessively so. Wide range of food, seasonally adapted. Value for money and thoroughly pleasant waiters. A good solid restaurant.

Excellente adresse sur St Gilles. Terrasse orientée sur la Vie et son port de pêcheurs. Accueillis par des serveurs et serveuses très sympathiques, souriants. Aussi bien à la carte ou au menu à 23 ou 29€, ce fut un régal pour les papilles et des plats joliment présentés. Cuisine très raffinée, la cuisson du poisson juste ce qu'il faut ! goûteuse, excellente ! Un grand bravo au chef ! Je me suis régalée !Une adresse à retenir sans hésitation.

I visited Le Comptoir with my husband. The server was very nice and attentive, seemed knowledgeable about the menu. The decor is nice, and the view of the river is great. The bathrooms were really clean. I loved the fact that it has an open kitchen, and the chef is right there cooking the food. He also greeted us when we came in, which was a pleasant surprise. We both ordered the menu at 27 euros. The food was FANTASTIC!! I had the saumon verrine and my husband had the foie gras, followed by the cabillaud and the lamb shank. After a evolution in management, and chef change earlier this year, this restaurant has changed dramatically. It was good before, but had a hard time finding it's "feet" (menu formerly had a bit of a Spanish slant). The new chef is fantastic, and while French, he also spent some time cooking in Canada. The dishes are fantastic, and varied. They reflect a more international experience, without giving in to a more Anglophone tendency to over-load the plate.
