"We stumbled on this and thought something slightly off the beaten track would be good. Unfortunately it turned out not so great. The one waiter was completely overwhelmed, clearly someone hadn't shown up or they weren't expecting to be busy.Drinks order and dinner was taken, only for no drinks to appear and after about 15 minutes we asked and apologetically drinks appeared. We ordered a small appetiser of spring rolls, which turned up frozen in the middle and hand to be sent back. One of us ordered a tuna, seared which was OK but not spectacular. 3 of us ordered pasta with prawns or seafood. The pasta was not well cooked, the dishes were drowning in oil. The meals were not well seasoned, and fairly bland actually. One had a cream-based sauce and wasn't particularly appealing at all.The location is interesting, being in a small alleyway, and the menu looks appealing, but it just doesn't cut it. Four of us ate for about €140 including a bottle of wine so it wasn't spectacular value, we could have walked a few steps more and had a really good pizza and a bottle of wine for half the price.Unless we really lucked out and they were having a really bad day I'd give this a miss and walk on to Pizzeria Bruno around the corner which is vastly better."

if you are looking for something from the big tourist bars around the harbour, I recommend this place very friendly and good eating (afternoon a little snack).

Foods looks like delicious and they were tasty too. The only problem was the staff don't speak any foreign languages and the menu also was available on french only, so I ordered randomly. But the waitress was very nice and she tried to help us, I appreciate this.

We had the fruit the mere salad for starters. Incredibly tasty and nicely presented. Our main course, moule frites with roquefort was also exceptional. Never have i had such tender mussels before! One of our party ordered pasta: this was nice! The service was great...as well!!

very nice staff that helped us with the strillers for the babies and the tables arranged so that we could sit comfortably with them. the foods and drinks were delicious (we had aperol splash, whistle, tartaric acid and fries as well as strawberries for dessert). the place was really cozy in a small road that was close to the harbour, but not so crowded. the prices were also really good, compared to the rest of the city. worth the money! We have never been to this town before and were looking for an authentic local restaurant. Our guide from the ship told us to move away from the harbour side tourist restaurants. Hence we found this little place in a narrow lane near the yellow clock tower. The staff were so friendly and did their best to overcome the language problems. The food was excellent, generous serves with excellent flavours. We tried the house Rose and we voted it as the best Rose on our holiday. It was also very reasonably priced.

Up a side street nice and quiet. the menu is good and we just happened to fancy Moules et Frites! Only thing I could sort of complain about was the waitress tipped my bowl of mussels towards me and I ended up with hot...buttery marinere liquor on my skirt! She was so sweet though that we couldn 't get cross and she did bring a bowl of water for our two dogs without us asking. The food was good and the price reasonable. The entertainment was provided by a young couple nest to us who seeing what we were having decided to have the same. In a stage whisper she said to her boyfriend it 's cute when people eat them mussels like that I was using one hinged shell to retrieve the next mussel as most...

"It was the best of meals, The second, not so much. On the Wednesday evening we explained that we needed one gluten free meal. We were immediately handed over to a charming lady, who we took to be the proprietor. She assured us that she would confer with the chef. We ordered a “coquelet roti” with a cream and grape sauce and a fillet steak served without sauces. Chips were covered in gluten but the chef proposed a salad for the steak and the “coquelet” came with a Gratin Dauphinoise. All the food was delicious. The chicken was soft and sweet the sauce had a depth of flavour aided and abeted by the small bursts of sweet grape juice from the grapes within it. The steak was perfect; maximum of flavour from the seared outside, maximum of soft juiciness from the tender pink interior. Dessert was a fruit crumble that had not had the crumble added, pronounced delicious, and a crème broulee. The crème was not a traditional baked vanilla egg custard. It tasted like a flour based preparation and was devoid of vanilla. All in all, the service had been attentive and the food mostly great. We determined that we would return for a second meal and looked forward to it.Mistake! Sunday evening, the waitress remembered us, and promised to check for gluten free food. She checked the Champaign sauce that was served with the Salmon. We could not have it. She was not aware that the rice, the dauphinoise and the chips all contained gluten. She suggested salad. We said that would be fine. The Dorade Royale, one of my favourite fish was sold out but they could offer Sea Bass. O.K., that would do. The salad delivered with the dry salmon was a simple bag mix of leaves, not the fresh mixed salad it had been four days before. It had brown stalks and tasted stale. The fish was undoubtedly the worst cooked fish I have ever been served. It had clearly been laid on a metal tray and placed under an electric grill. It had not been turned or moved until it was served. Consequently, the top skin was like leather. It defied my efforts with the serrated knife provided to cut through it. I had to prize it off to get to the very dry fish beneath. A simple glaze of oil would have ensured that the skin became crispy and a delicious part of the fish. It would also have ensured that the (Chef?) remembered to turn the fish under the grill. When I turned the fish on the plate, the lower side skin was a soggy mess where all the juices had soaked it through. Scraping it off, the second fillet was edible, despite the attentions of the chef. We told the waitress what was wrong with our food. She said she would tell the chef. We don’t know if she did. We did not see him."
