Le Petit Bijou - Speisekarte

Met up with friends for coffee. On arrival we were given a warm welcome. The bacon butty I had was yummy, my friends said theirs were good also. Will definitely return.

Been here numerous times and never had a bad experience. Bijou always has a nice relaxed atmosphere, staff are welcoming and the brie, bacon and grape panning is a personal fav.

This beautiful little place had won over my heart instantly! The staff are so incredible, welcoming, polite, real people! The food is again amazing.. Atmosphere, everything. I honestly couldnt say a bad word about this place.. LOVE.

The food and service at this restaurant were both subpar. The woman who was cooking and hosting was unpleasant. We felt that we were overcharged and when we questioned our bill, we were made to feel like it was our fault. Overall, we do not recommend this restaurant.

I have visited Bijou several times, the food,prices,a atmosphere are excellent, BUT the constant banter from the owner who served us whilst friendly felt over familiar and not what most customers would want.. Such a shame as I thought I,d found an ideal spot but prefer to go where t here a more professional service and be left in peace to chat with my friends Speisekarte ansehen

This is definitely not a child friendly cafe! After entering a busy bijou we sat down at the only table left which was a four seater. My wife and I and our month old daughter struggled with the logistics of arranging the buggy and the chairs, no help was offered. We were perusing the menu when a group of three walked through the door, we were then immediately and rudely asked to move to a two seater which the current occupants of were hardly ready to leave themselves. This is the second time I have been here and there certainly won 't be a third! First time I asked if we could bring our baby group as the place is always empty and I thought it would make for a quiet environment in the village. I was told in no uncertain terms 'No ' as they don 't like buggies in the cafe. I thought I would try it again just with my baby. Firstly the owner abused my buggy and said it was oversized and I wouldn 't find it useful and would change to a cheap fold down one ?!?! , then when the bill came they charged me £6.50 for a latte and a piece of cake. If you need a break from Manchester life or just feel the urge to escape without leaving the country, we always found Bijou refreshingly different, with an atmosphere that allows you to forget you are in Manchester or even Britain.That said, it does one of Britain's best fry-up breakfasts, which are great value for money too and the friendly staff make a half-decent coffee.There are plenty of dining tables, a front terrace and a courtyard that we remember being open during summer plus (our favourite) fabulously comfortable sofas in one corner perfect for a relax.Recently returning after about six years away we were pleased to find little had changed and the formula is obviously working for t...
