Le V - Speisekarte

Stopped over in Versailles for the night. After a hot walk about toe found this bar for a glass or two of Champagne. The barman was great he bright drinks whilst we watched the world pass for an hour. Well with a visit

We sat and waited. And waited. Others came and were served. We waited. And waited. Not a smile. Not a moment of even recognising we were there. The food - who knows. Recommendation - so many friendlier places around the corner.

We had an excellent lunch. Food very good, service very good and very reasonable price. We had oysters and fish soup followed by veal kidneys. It was one on the best meals of our trip, a long weekend, and very reasonably priced.

Stopped here today having gone round the Sunday market, and in need of a cuppa. The waitress spoke no English and we had only school French (school being a long time ago!) but we managed to get our order across and sat n the sun watching the world go by for a happy half hour. Nice spot to rest!

had a business dinner here. The food varity is ok and provides something for everyone. All dishes have been very tasty and the restaurant is capable of serving bigger groups (10 people) at once and without any delay.The wine list offers as well a great varity for all taste buds and budgets.I can recommend this for a nice dinner or lunch.

On the recommendation of a friend who lives nearby, we stopped here for our first dinner of our two week visit. It was bustling but not too tightly packed, and the atmosphere was modern and sleek without being cold and slick. The service was lovely and we felt very welcomed even though we were still getting our "sea legs" with our French! We were treated very well and could have lingered longer if it weren't for the jet lag! It's tucked away off the market square and did not feel as touristy as some of the other nearby options. We had a lovely evening.

I was in Versailles on business for a couple of days and this was one of the restaurant I opted to eat, primarily based on its review on trip advisor.The restaurant is a typical Parisian establishment, the staff were friendly and helpful (and very forgiving of my terrible attempt at French). This restaurant beckons from outside; tables on the walk for smokers, chalk board menu of the daily special in a well worn building that passes for French charm. Judging from the number of happy (mostly French) customers, they must be doing something right, but my meal would embarrass a Route 66 truck stop. The beef steak was a tough chunk of skirt steak; I ordered it "well done" because the French cook on the rare side and I did not want too much pink, but what I got was crusty as a burger dropped in the campfire. It was served with under cooked noodles in a sad cheese sauce. The wine, a Beaujolais, offered at $6 a glass reminded me of my college days when I drank jug wine except it was not...
