"we stayed in 2 rooms and 1 apartment over a weekend for 2 nights. The positive points : the rooms in the building are small but cute, (lots of broken racks in one of the rooms the living room on the ground floor is very pleasant a ping pong table is available central location in Houlgate, just park and do everything on foot (sea, shops, restaurants, etc. friendly owners and receptionist a patio available with a covered part operational wifi The negative points : Breakfast at 14€, very expensive, I don't understand the criticism, it really has nothing special and no choice of cold meats (exclusively white ham , on the reservation, the breakfast was indicated at 12€ Housekeeping and hygiene need to be reviewed, towels (at least bath mats not changed from one day to the next, dust, carpet not vacuumed, glasses not washed or changed from one day to the next. the other no service in the rooms worthy of a 3 star (bottle of water, kettle, etc. Consider redoing the first step that leads to the apartment, it moves, barrier that leads to the apartment is not secure We have not tested the TV, the bedding is OK. We stayed 2 nights during the Easter weekend, 1 so-called “superior” room 16m2 (number 3) at 140€ per night and 1 “small” room 10m2 (number 16) at 80€ with access via the interior courtyard. Good quality bedding for the 2 bedrooms. There is no towel dryer in the bathrooms (cold in April) and the sinks were very small (more like hand basins). A small bottle of water would be nice in each room for a 3-star hotel. The reception staff are friendly, the provision of a common lounge to meet up is pleasant and the breakfast is very good but a little expensive at €14! if you want to settle for a classic “sweet” breakfast.
