The lion has lovely food in particular the hot beef sandwich is delicious. The interior is nice and clean?

Our food was so delicious, so fresh and tasty. So much choice we couldn’t believe it. We were expecting standard ‘pub grub’ but our expectations were exceeded! Food was gorgeous. Highly recommend the squid rings to start!!!

Superb service and delicious food as always. Love coming back here and having my pub favourites. The menu is great with something for everyone. Outside area is wonderful on a summers evening. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area. Thanks again!

We called after a long got walk, looking for a nice cold drink some decent pub food.The drink was very good with 3 cask ales which hit the spot as I tried all of them.The food was average pub grub which came quickly but needed something to lift it a little.We enjoyed our stop but we thought the pub could make a better effort

Myself and family headed to the Lion recently for some food and it was just what we were after. Classic pub food, decent atmosphere and one of the guests at the hotel even jumped on the piano which added to the fun of the evening. Steak maybe slightly over priced as it just comes with chips and some peas but other than that it was fab! Cheers!

Finding a good restaurant for a large family can be a challenge, especially with young children in tow. However, we hit the jackpot with The Lion. No reservations required, the staff gave us a warm and welcoming reception. The spacious family dining area comfortably accommodated our party of 12, with a good selection of beers for the adults. The service was impressively fast, and the food was both delicious and generously portioned. Vegetarians also had some tasty options, like the homemade kale and hemp burgers. The restaurant also offers easy parking and outdoor seating for nicer weather. Highly recommended.

Wanted to eat here for a while we pass it every time we head to our place. Lovely friendly welcome. Table for 4 available for 6pm. Good menu and choice. Shared 2 starters be tempura was nicely crispy. Calamari was good as well (portion a bit small though). Mains were mahoosive. Mum and wifey both went for ocean pie and loved it. Chips were unnecessary for them so of course we had to help out right ? I had the coconut chicken which was excellent. Little explosion of flavour and v tender meat. Half rice /chips was a good option. Son went for lion burger which I got a taste of. Good choice ! Local beer was great. Bar again v friendly. Recommended !

Wow, what a transformation at The Lion! This place has really stepped into the modern age and is now a delightful spot. My children and two grandchildren took me there for a meal, and I was pleasantly surprised by the changes. I opted for the posh fish fingers baguette with homemade tartar sauce, side salad, chips, and homemade coleslaw, and it was absolutely delicious. The crispy batter on the cod was a real treat compared to my previous experience with the old management. Everyone else enjoyed their desserts, and when I saw my daughter-in-law's fruit crumble and custard, I couldn't resist getting some to go. Mari, you are doing a fantastic job at this excellent pub with top-notch food.
