visited on a winter night back in 2015. absolutely stunning atmosphere, extremely well made eating (have pizza and calzone) and the service was friendly and helpful! a certain visit must be found in zürich! Speisekarte ansehen

we were in a hotel in the opposite and wanted dinner near the evening. that was a great sound. friendly place with beautiful decor. that was delicious. the risotto was the first guess. beautiful wine list with reasonable preisen.

Wir mussten 20 Minuten warten und wurden nicht bedient. Die Kellner kamen regelmässig an den anderen Tischen vorbei und brachten Essen, während sie uns komplett ignorierten. Wir verliessen das Lokal, ohne überhaupt nach einem Getränk gefragt worden zu sein.

Italienisches Ambiente, eine freundliche und nette Bedienung und gutes Essen. Was will man mehr. Wir entschieden uns für das Controfiletto. Das Fleisch und die Sauce mundete uns sehr. Ich hätte ja gerne mal im Mamma Mia gegessen, aber ich wurde ja schon zusammengestaucht, weil ich mein Fahrrad daneben hinstellen wollte (an einem Ort, wo es noch nie jemanden gestört hat oder jemandem im Weg war), zudem hat ein Blick ins Lokal mir dann noch den Rest gegeben (stickig, abgestandene Luft, einfach lieblos eingerichtet) und meine kleine Tochter wollte nach dem unfreundlichen Auftakt auch lieber wo anders essen gehen - tja, so vertreibt man Kunden - Alternativen gibt es in unmittelbarer Nähe ja genug.

Our hotel recommended Mama Mia Restaurant as a good place to eat. They were wrong. It’s a great place to eat. It took a while for our busy waitress to show up but she was wonderful after that. Fun and very friendly. Our meals were...amazing. Very authentic Italian flavors. The restaurant is very nice inside and the smokers were away in a glasses in area so we didn’t have to smell them. Our friends had the lasagna and felt it was the best ever. I had the Portofino spaghetti dish-prawns and a delicious sauce. The pizza was excellent too. For desert the l got the lemon sorbet with vodka—tasted just like lemoncello.

Since this is a venture of the Mamma Mia chain, there wasn’t much surprise in the menu. Usually there is good value for money (not for Italian standards but quite okay for Switzerland , but this time the garlic was a little bitter due to being...in the pan a bit too long, a pity. Know that there is quite a lot of traffic from youngsters in tuned cars parading the town centre Friday and Saturday evenings (one of the streets is directly in front of the restaurant... . Staff can vary between chatty, friendly, inviting and forgetful, curt even cheeky, and English is not really their strong suit. If you know some German and/or Italian you’ll be better off.
