Went to Mario's yesterday and as an Italian I can tell you one thing : they DO serve proper Italian food. Marco, Mario's son spent some time at our table he is adorable and you can tell he is very passionate about what he does. Pasta is cooked al dente, sauces are not greasy and pizzas are top notch please don't skip this restaurant. I went there last night with my mum and my son. The food was amazing as always but there was something else that made me leave this review. My son always gets the creamy kids pasta and this time it came with some parsley on top on it. He started saying mummy I don 't like it with these plants but I wouldn 't have asked for the plate to be changed for something like this (I am really not that kind of customer : A member of staff or the owner (not sure who it was, I do apologise overheard him and immediately said he will bring another plate as he knows kids don 't like parsley. I did say there is no need to do that but he did bring him another plate with no parsley. That was more than kind and...

Mario's met and exceeded my expectations completely. It looked lovely, warm, and welcoming from the outside, and the menu was impressive, extensive, and really varied, so I was already expecting to enjoy the visit. But the actual experience was absolutely marvellous! Food, service, and ambience were all first class, friendly, and highly recommended. My husband is also gluten-free, which usually adds a note of tension to what he can normally expect in terms of choice and quality. Not the case at Mario's at all.
