"I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant with a fresh and healthy menu. I decided to try the buckwheat pancakes for brunch, which were extremely filling and topped with chocolate sauce and berries. I typically don't go for healthy options, but this was a delightful compromise for me. My friend ordered the shrooms and greens, a delicious combination of mushrooms and greens served on sourdough bread. The portion sizes were generous and the quality of the food exceeded the price. Although I'm not vegan, I would happily eat food like this regularly. Our server, Adam, was helpful, friendly, and attentive, adding to the overall fantastic experience. I highly recommend this restaurant as an alternative to traditional cafes."

"I recently dined at this establishment and had a wonderful experience. For my meal type, I would classify it as "Other," which really captures the relaxed vibe of the place. The price was incredibly reasonable, with a cost of just £1–10 per person. Everything I tried was delicious, earning a perfect score of 5 for the food. The service was equally impressive; the staff were attentive and friendly, also receiving a 5. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a lovely spot to enjoy a meal, and that too merits a score of 5. I highly recommend trying the Hot Chocolate with Cream and Marshmallow – it was the highlight of my visit! Overall, this restaurant is a gem that I would gladly revisit. "

"The food was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. The curry portions are quite generous, but I find that the amount of rice served doesn't justify the price. "I’ve never been before, we came yesterday for family dinner looking forward to a roast lunch dinner. The menu only had a choice of lamb or beef, not liking beef the choice for me was lamb. Within minutes a lady came to advise the lamb “had just sold out” I said I didn’t like beef but no other option was given and I therefore had to have the beef. The meal arrived the Yorkshire’s were not risen and burned. The vegetables were very nice the beef was shaped like a block mine was dry and over cooked. My husband had poured gravy all over his so he couldn’t tell but I don’t like a lot of gravy on my food and I could tell I gave my beef to him. We ordered a burger/cheese/bacon meal for our 12 year old, I made it really clear to the young girl to plead only out cheese/bacon/burger on and no healthy stuff no onions nothing she laughed and said she has a brother who is the same so understands we ordered the adult version as it said the children’s was for 10 years and under. My sons burger arrived with a load of crispy onions lettuce and tomatoes everything we had asked NOT to be added, I took the food off but he wouldn’t touch it having seen the salad was on it! After eating my main it was a massive disappointment to see the man behind us being served a roast lamb dinner when I was told it had all sold out!!!! I had ordered fruit crumble this was a massive portion in a bowl the crumble topping was nice but the fruit underneath tasted like melted jam rather than just gently cooked fresh fruit there was more fruit sauce than fruit making it quite sloppy I had a couple of mouthfuls and left it."

"I last visited Peck's for a birthday in December 2022, and had the a la carte menu. It was quite good at the time, and I remembered this when I was making my booking for Valentine's Day, and was excited to sample the 6 course special menu (which is not cheap at £60 a head, but I paid much the same the previous years' VD at the Post House in Stafford. We were greeted nicely, and lead to a intimately lit area and immaculately laid table. First impressions were good. Issues raised by other Tripadvisor reviewers, in regard to poor quality of service, or a cold environment, were not present. The house was packed out, and our anticipation was high. But one problem, and it is a big problem, reported by others and experienced by myself: the food is terribly bland. I didn't expect big portions, but I did expect a great taste experience, and on that score, it fell very flat. Do the chefs taste what they are sending out? The dishes that they prepare may have great presentation, there's no doubting that, but the experience of eating it was a major let down. I left disappointed, and feeling that I did not get good value for my expensive meal. A shame."
