We had a wonderful meal here. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic I took a chance on the Rabbit and it was really good. The food was hot and tasty. Will be going back.

I had a well cooked sirloin steak with a peppercorn sauce and my wife had a ham cheeseboard mix followed by desserts . The Primitivo wine from Apulia was the best that i have had in the UK

We had a wonderful meal at the restaurant! Despite the ‘fine dining’ label, the portions are perfect for you to leave the restaurant and be full! The staff were incredibly welcoming and made the experience even better!

Enjoyed the lunch time food here, choose the crock pots, all in one meals, but ordered side of bread rolls and chips that were so very very good. Bit on the expensive side but it was a treat so did enjoy the whole ambience.

The restaurant is very relaxing and has a lovely atmosphere. We ordered the Lakeland Beef Goulash with sour cream and it was perfect. This dish was a delight, creamy beef that melted and a proper Goulash flavour. Cheese board to finish washed down with a very good medium body red wine. After dining at the Bistro, we made a reservation for the main restaurant for dinner on our second night. We were pleased that we did because the food was outstanding. The additional touches of canapes and soup served in a cup before our starter added to the overall quality of the meal. Two courses of exceptional food for two people, along with a nice bottle of wine for £100? It was worth every penny.

I had the Salmon done three ways starter which was quite nice. For our mains I had steak which had to be sent back because it was **** and I had asked for medium. My wife had a ‘rack’ of lamb 2 small cutlets only (hardly constitutes a rack) . My wife had the lemon tart for desert which was quite nice. Service was good. Overall impression was that the food was expensive for what we had, notably £26 for two lamb cutlets plus a few veggies.

Ate here whilst staying in the hotel and the food is delicious. Well presented using the finest ingredients and cooked to perfection. This is not a pile it high kind of establishment so don't expect belly busting portions and gravy dripping off the edge of the plate. Its fine dining at its best. The menu is not excessive but there is ample choice and each dish sounds and looks beautiful. There was a leaning towards game when we ate here which is fine by me as I love it. I was not disappointed. The pigeon and duck I had was perfectly cooked. Top marks for the chef and equally fine service from the waiting team. Speisekarte ansehen
