Oiishi Japanese Cuisine

I’ve only sat in the restaurant once (I felt it was a bit too intimate for me) but I often order food to collect and it is always spot on! Absolutely love the bento boxes.

Absolutely outstanding. Warm welcome, great atmosphere, fantastic service authentic food. Really cosy (bit cramped sometimes! but adds to the feel of the place. You won’t be disappointed

Not bad but not great. Starters more flavoursome than the mains. Went for hot dishes (not sushi) and they were a bit gluggy and not especially flavoursome (and a bit of gristle in the chicken in one). Not sure I’d come back which is a shame as had high hopes and love Japanese food.

Tried this for the first time recently. Haven’t went to Japanese restaurants as I (mistakenly) thought it wouldn’t be particularly good for vegetarian. I was well off the mark. Shichimi Tofu was lovely followed by Yasai Yaki noodles. First visit but won’t be the last. Service was very good too.

My family and I frequently dine at this restaurant and thoroughly enjoy it. The sushi is always fresh, well-prepared, and the staff is consistently friendly, helpful, and exceptional. The quality of the sushi is among the best in Scotland. If we lived closer, we would definitely dine here more often, but we travel from out of town just to enjoy it. Good sushi can be difficult to come by, so we are pleased to have found such a great spot in Glasgow. Speisekarte ansehen

I have visited Oiishi many times with friends, family and with my other half. Every time our meal has been fantastic. Food is full of flavour and just delicious. We have brought my dad to Oiishi three times now- for context,he is notoriously fussy and never finishes a meal. Oiishi is the first place I’ve taken him to that he not only finishes his meal, but actually enjoys his food. For me, there’s no bigger compliment to a restaurant. We will be back soon :

I would rate this restaurant a 3 out of 5. While it may seem harsh, I am comparing it to other scores I have given in the past. If you find yourself at the Odeon Cinema, I recommend taking a walk down to The Village where you will find a variety of restaurants and pubs. The Hunter St/Montgomery St area is beautiful and every town should have a similar vibe, although loud patrons may occasionally disrupt the peaceful atmosphere. After watching a film, we stopped at Oiishi for some fresh sushi followed by delicious chicken chahan and crab schichimi. The food was enjoyable and the service was good.

I was excited to attend this restaurant for my partner's birthday due to good reviews. However, the service was extremely poor. We were only given 1 drink at the start of the meal and no offer was made for further drinks. One main meal never arrived after approximately 45 minutes, and when I asked about it, I was told the kitchen was busy and they only have 2 hands. We had to wait for another half hour for someone to take payment, only to be told that we pay on the way out and not at the table - this was not explained to us beforehand. Overall, the whole experience was disappointing and ruined what should have been a good night. We are big sushi fans, but we will not be returning to this res... Speisekarte ansehen
