"We went there the evening of Thursday 26 August 2021, and what to say. At the beginning we have a bit of heart passing in front of this restaurant in the middle of the evening. And by what to start... The service was extremely warm, the servers are very pleasant and friendly. Although we arrived in almost the end of service. We are placed on the terrace and this one is very picturesque. We take an aperitif, the waiter recommends a wine named Love Room that we don’t know and it was excellent, accompanied by Tenders home, and this first part was a treat. Then we go with the suggestions of the day, a bar net and a salmon piece, deposited on a bed of zucchini and followed by a homemade carrot purée. Excellent, nothing to say except that, in our view, there was little seasoning. During our meal, we are obliged to discuss with the manager of the places with whom we take a real pleasure in conversing, this man tells us his journey which was my faith, very interesting. At the same time, we come to dessert: a delicious chocolate marrow accompanied by a Pistache ice ball. I didn’t necessarily follow a fan of the pistachio, I liked this mixture very much. We went there mid-September a noon: very nice discovery, friendly welcome, kitchen with very good fish specialties. We took a fish of the day with its vegetables (bar) and a cod back, purée and tarragon sauce. We'll go back there for sure.

We managed to book a table in this friendly restaurant of St Jean de Luz, even though we had received an end not to receive many others during our stay in the Basque Country. The dishes are original and gourmet, and the products used are fresh. We enjoyed each other from beginning to end! The wine was also excellent. To note, the service is very friendly but a bit clumsy

this restaurant is not in the most touristic part of the street tourasse but it is not a reason not to go! On the contrary. The dishes are very good, traditional but with a touch of originality (the branch of thyme in embers served on the intercote, or the paella revisited for example). Fish dishes are delicious (it is fresh their fish, it is fresh the gourmet coffee is a very good choice for dessert. The decor is playful and humorous (does a toilet tour the prices are lined up on the other St-Jean restaurants. In summary, go without hesitation but avoid the terrace because cars circulate there a few centimeters from your table.
